It was easy to find.. lots of parking.. good location.. the rooms were clean.. the shower was great.. the staff were just helpful and kind. Bridie the receptionist was wonderful. She told us to tell the restaurant at the hotel that we were guests and that entitled us to 10% off our meals.. good service all round

    To see all the attractions and tourist attractions guests would definately need to consider a hire car. We could not have achieved what we did without a hire car. Dining options in the Palmer Mtreet area are excellent.

    Townsville is huge, when you go up Castle Hill and look at...

    Townsville is huge, when you go up Castle Hill and look at the town it is unbelievable how big it is. Choose your accomodation carefully to be near the attractions you want to visit. Castle Hill has awesome views of the town and shows you how vast it is. Magnetic Island is beautiful you can get to it by ferry or take the car on another ferry.

    Never been before, so flying in to this port city in between...

    Never been before, so flying in to this port city in between mountains just touching the clouds was brautiful. Saw the stadium where the Cowboys play! The Strand was beautiful on a sunny winters day and we were there for a sports event so we were surprised to see everything from basketball, hockey, rugby and even a darts complex all in one district. Anyways we enjoyed see ya next time.

    Lovely town especially The Strand area. Castle Hill lookout fantastic. Easy town to find your way around. The Strand has everything you need for a great and relaxing stay. Weather perfect and amazing sunsets. C Bar an excellent restaurant/ bar to enjoy a drink and or dinner on the water to watch the sunset.

    Townsville will be a very pleasant surprise the first time...

    Townsville will be a very pleasant surprise the first time you visit. A visit to Magnetic Island either for the day or longer is a must. Cafes and restaurants along The Strand are excellent. Lots of good accommodation options. The Il Vile Casino has excellent dining options. Many more things to do of course. Castle Hill views, museums, trip out to Charters Towers are all worth visiting.

    The casino is a great place to have a flutter and some fun , all levels are made to feel welcome , Townsville itself is lacking in financial investment , the people were all friendly, felt safe despite the bad crime figures but also travel sensibly

    Best location on the Strand. You really can't beat the position here. Clean, basic rooms with everything you need. Kettle, toaster and microwave in the room. Clean and tidy. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Super friendly and helpful staff. Let us check in early and held our bags after check out. If you are looking for a super modern place this may not be for you, but if you are looking for a clean and friendly place at a great price in the best part of Townsville then this is for you.

    The Aquarius is in a perfect location right on the Strand so close to Restaurants, Cafe's and everything you could need. The hotel itself is an older style but very comfortable and convenient with friendly staff. Parking was'nt a problem and we really enjoyed our stay, We managed to secure a great price with an amazing view. Would highly recommend if staying in Townsville.
