My husband and I just recently stayed at the Fullerton hotel for our anniversary and to celebrate our birthdays. Before our stay Roger from the Fullerton express helped get everything situated after a hiccup with some emails, to make our stay more comfortable. he helped us with our amenities , dining , and we were able to get upgraded to the deluxe suite. From our arrival to our departure everything went smoothly. Every employee was friendly and helpful and met any request we had. They even surprised us after our late lunch with a birthday cake and a card. The lunch we had was delicious we did the in room dining my husband and I both ordered the Wagyu beef burger and chips. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was spacious. The tub was beautiful overlooking the city.. We were able to access the Fullerton lounge with our stay. All the meals we had there were just delicious, and we had such friendly and helpful servers . It was a nice touch to our special day. We just relaxed, ,enjoyed a lovely cappuccino , as we took in the city view from the lounge . Later we went back up for a pre-dinner cocktails ,before we headed out to our show. In the morning we pre-ordered in room breakfast. My husband had the big Aussie breakfast and I had the pancakes. Both our meals were absolutely delicious. It was so nice to have breakfast in the comfort of our suite while enjoying our view,. We would highly recommend staying at the Fullerton hotel and we cannot wait to stay again in the near future.. we hope to make our anniversary a new tradition at the Fullerton.
Location of the Fullerton was also fantastic. We went to a few local speakeasy’s and everything was in walking distance to reach the spas, shopping, food etc.

As a new Zealander, flying into Sydney, I find the train from the airport is wonderful and both trains and bus trips using my Opal travel card makes this city easy to get around. I was amazed at the number of great shopping malls, theatres and lovely beaches there were. Riding the ferries is a highlight!

Staying in the CBD means public transport right outside the door. No need to find and pay for parking - expensive to do so. public transport is cheap compared to Brisbane. A lot of attractions still in walking distance. Some places provide a discount for attractions and parking a car at the hotel.
Not all hotel rooms have kitchenettes, so that is a con.

Great place with so much to see.
Great place with so much to see. Darling harbour, opera house, harbour bridge, circular quay, the rocks etc etc!
Public transport so easy to use and very reasonably priced with a capped rate for the day.
Great location in Sydney city center. Short walk to Central train station (well connected to airport), right next to several tram lines, and next to Chinatown. About 10 minutes on the tram to get to Circular Quay, Sydney Opera House, and all the sights. The hotel itself was somewhat dated but it was clean, affordable, and the staff were friendly and kind. The downstairs bar was also pretty nice with reasonable prices. Overall for the price point and location this would be hard to beat for a solo traveler. Definitely recommend.
This was our second stay at the Moxy, this time prior to an early flight the next day. We think this is the best of all of the airport hotels, and certainly nowhere near the most expensive. It's got great public spaces, a really pleasant bar and the food at the restaurant is good pub/bistro quality - just what you need for a pleasant evening before a flight the next day. We'll probably stay at the Moxy quite regularly - it's fantastic value for money.
location is amazing. so easy to get to from Airport. train straight to Wynyard and stroll to hotel. Everything you need. short walk to Queen Victoria Building and Westfields. Vapianos Italian restaurant on ground floor of hotel was amazing. CBD hotel opposite corner. stroll to Darling Harbour. could not Fault. Room was perfect. Shower amazing. complimentary Non alcoholic drinks provided in Mini Bar. couldn’t want for more.
It is a budget hotel near the airport with a shuttle that can provide service to/from the airport for 10 AUD each way. The hotel room was comfortable, clean and quiet. I booked it since I was flying back out the next morning, and the proximity to the airport eliminated the stress I would have experienced had I gone all the way into downtown Sydney and then back out to the airport the next morning.
What an incredible hotel! Everything was flawless - from the room and abundance of towels to the warm greeting, impeccable service, and exquisite decor. Having stayed in hotels globally, I must say this experience was truly outstanding, especially considering the great value and convenient location. The availability of a shuttle bus to the airport was the cherry on top!
After flying into Sydney following 2 weeks away I wanted to see a play at Surry Hills so booked into the Travelodge at the Airport. It was so convenient to get to after picking up my car from the long term parking. I caught the train to Central to see the play, which was also very convenient and a short walk from the hotel to Mascot train station.
The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The roof top bar and office area is fantastic - free coffee and water all day long, a beautiful place to hang out and start or end your day in Sydney.
The room itself is beautifully designed and the bed was amazing. When we got there, cleanliness of the room was fine.
Stayed there years ago when it was the Westin, it was one of our favourite places we had stayed. New ownership after Covid, good to see they haven’t changed anything. The clock tower and old post office building is one of the most beautiful backdrops for a hotel in the middle of CBD. 10/10 for everything.
Right in the middle of the CBD, a few minutes away from Circular Quay, Opera House, QVB, Darling Harbour. There are also tram and underground train stops nearby, including easy connection to the airport. Breakfast was good normal continental one. Staff was friendly. Room was comfortable and clean.
Hotel Challis is situated in the perfect spot between the Eastern suburbs hot spots and the domain and CBD. Easy to get there by train from the airport, the rest of the time we wandered around to Rushcutters Bay, ate at amazing restaurants in Potts Point or walked to the Domain and Circular Quay.
Excellent hotel in the CBD with easy access to all the best Sydney attractions and has some very good restaurants close by. Clean and tidy with very accommodating staff, especially Roberto. Great views over to Sydney harbour bridge and opera house. Also good views over Elizabeth Bay.
Great location and parking which was $50 / day (reasonable compared to other hotels) stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was comfortable and spacious. Price was reasonable for an apartment in CBD. Staff were lovely and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.
Location is central to many places within the CBD. Hotel has couple of lounge spaces to sit with family and friends and sip wine and chat. The front office staff is exceptionally courteous and ready to go out of the way to help. Traditional furniture.
Rooms were together as requested, excellent location of hotel - central to everything and close to light rail. No need for own car within the CBD. Lively vide in Sydney at night which was great to see!
We like suites in hotels and this was by far the best. Very well appointed and spacious. Close to public transit, a number of eateries and the airport, as we had to catch a morning flight.
Very close to Sydney Airport and Central Station. A convenience store and a supermarket near this hotel. Good restaurant, clean room, comfortable bed, and very friendly staff.
the team from booking to checking out were above our expectations with the best customer service experience I have had compared to 5 star hotels in Sydney CBD
