Just 5 minutes’ walk from Turangi town centre, Creel Lodge is a 4.5-star Qualmark rated motel offering self-contained suites with a private patio and BBQ facilities. A wonderful, serene, and very practical place to stay. As well as being quiet (with some interesting bird calls audible in the early morning) and comfortable, it had a very usable kitchen, good wifi, easy parking, helpful staff/owners, great shower (and super-hot), laundry facilities, and was only a short (10min) walk to town.

White Heron Motor Lodge is just 2 minutes' drive from the centre of Gisborne and 7 minutes' drive from the beach and the airport. Short drive to town and the beach. Very comfortable bed and clean facilities. Well equipped kitchenette and would recommend a room with the spa pool!

Ellen and Poppie are particular stand outs but everyone we met was great. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very well appointed, with everything we needed. The pool and the mineral pools were a great bonus. Location is excellent with everything in waking distance. Highly recommended
