I arrived in Muke village looking for a quiet place to stay far away from the touristic Livingstone town. I didn't expect to find there the best experience of my trip in Africa. I was the third guest since the house is new and they just started to host people in this authentic village house made with wood and clay. The bed are very comfortable, the bathroom and shower are clean and functional. It was so nice to sleep in this peaceful village near the Zambezi river that I decided to extend my stay to one week and I had many reasons to do so! This is not just a guest house, this is part of a project started 4 years ago by Alex when he decided to build a school in Muke Village. I met him when I arrived and he explained me how all the profits of the guest house go to the school, the teachers and the kids. The decision to build a school was made because the nearest school was 5 km away and the kids had to cover a busy dangerous road and sometimes even face the elephants that crowd the surroundings of the village. Starting with 10 kids now the school has 75 students and needs every year more support. I decided then to help as I could doing some volunteering and I extended my stay! So I really recommend to anyone who pass by Livingstone to spend some time in this place because for me it was the most authentic experience of my trip in Africa and I met very nice people in this place who work everyday to give a better future to the children of the village. Zambezi Dusk is located on a beautiful property with views of frequent visits from elephant, buffalo, and plains game right across the river. There is a spacious deck with various comfortable seating options for viewing wildlife, dining, or enjoying a drink. The food quality and presentation is that of what you would find at an upscale restaurant. We had some of our most favorite meals at Zambezi dusk and it was only 4 nights out of a 22 day stay! I can not say enough about the kitchen and wait staff! The game boat ride was a great bonus! All of the staff went above and beyond in many aspects, we can’t thank them enough. As far as location we loved that it was secluded and private exactly what we were looking for. The gardens and view from restaurant are better than pictures.

Amazing location on the river, very peaceful and interesting - we enjoyed spotting hippos and crocodiles directly from our terrace. Karen set a sunset cruiser just for us, memorable experience away from crowds in Victoria Falls. We wish we had stayed more than a simple night, and enjoyed the bbq facilities! Next time, thanks

Everything,I never had a wonderful host like Elena,Brenda and everyone there. It was juste amazing, the welcome was just wonderful and the house was the most beautiful I never seen, it is better than the pictures. God bless them, my nephew has an accident but thanks to the host and all the people who work there helped us in so many ways that we felt reassured thanks to them.
