A perfect relaxing place. Close to the national park, embedded in a nice tranquil village. Food, service and attention are outstanding. The food is mostly homegrown, the owners are nice to chat with and help to organise everything. After a week of hectic conference in Kigali this was the perfect place to hang out. Thank you!

"Akagera Ihema Lodges" is an absolutely unique, superb place located in a stunning, heavenly location. The rooms (lodges), with a breathtaking view, are extremely clean, very well-equipped and furnished with great taste (the same counts for the restaurant, bar and reception area). All Staff are extremely courteous, very helpful and multilingual (English, French, Kinyarwanda and more). Food is exquisite and coffee is delectable too. An absolute gem looming over the Akagera Park! I will definitely visit again - Murakoze cyane and Congratulations!

The location, the staff, the food! It has been really a nice staying! It is perfect to be used to see the Akagera National Park which is less than 10 min driving distance

This place is in incredible. The staff do so much to make you feel so comfortable as soon as you pull up. We were greeted so warmly and Petite took us for an awesome stroll around the village and to see the sunset. We also had an opportunity to talk to the owners about some of the amazing work they do with the community and to meet some of the children they support. On top of all of that, the food and customer service was absolutely superb! Do yourself a favour and stop here to meet the staff! They have a coffee shop and awesome little bar too. We genuinely loved every moment of our stay here. I cannot express how much the staff made our stay. They were the most attentive / courteous and caring people we have ever met. We loved speaking to them every day, they are a credit to Akagera Game Lodge and really deserve so much recognition. A special thank you to everyone that was working during our stay, we really wish we got everyone's names as everyone deserves a mention. Gastone in particular was incredible. We were taken care of better than we have been before and we have travelled a lot! The lodge is the most amazing experience, the food is delicious, The scenery and nature that surrounds you is honestly out of this world. We loved every morning waking up here, looking out our balcony to breath taking views, enjoying delicious breakfast's, heading off on our game drive, coming back to enjoy drinks by the pool, enjoying a delicious dinner and finishing our nights by the firepit with a lovely cosy blanket. We are already planning our next visit.

the property is secluded and within a rural part of Rwanda and is simply magical. 1 day is simply not enough time, i recommend a min. 2 day stay so you can really rest and enjoy the property. there’s lots of nature around you and a lot of activities you can do like kayaking, massage, a community walk and bird watching so there’s plenty that you can do while also ensuring you relax. the food was really amazing, especially the communal dinner, the bed was super comfortable and there was plenty of hot water! honestly there’s nothing to fault - it was the perfect stay.
