House and garden was very beautiful and clean. There´s a sauna and a terrace which we really enjoyed. Location of the property is perfectly next to a walking path, taking you to a small island with the castle ruins an a beach.

Apartment was clean and felt inviting. Host provided a number of useful items such as tea/coffee, toothbrushes, toiletries etc which we were especially grateful for after travelling. Apartment itself was lovely with a balcony to sit outside an extremely comfy bed! We arrived very late in the evening but the host contacted us beforehand so there was no problem gaining access to the property. Communication in general with the host was brilliant and we would definitely recommend it as somewhere to stay when visiting Aluksne.

    A hidden pearl of Latvia and Old Livonia with an island resort in the middle. Despite being almost 200 km from the seashore the city had an inspiring shore holiday feel with a great beach side island in the middle of the city. Great place to learn about the history and the origin of written Latvian language.

    Clean and well kept city. Many historical places of interest. Tourist information provided in hotel lobby useful and practical. Hotel staff knowledgeable to suggest activities and festivals taking place in the city. Restaurants and coffee shops abound.

    The owner communicated with me throughout my arrival day in English to assure my arrival goes smoothly. They allowed me to bring my bike into my room to ensure that it is kept safely. The room itself was spacious enough for it, it had 4 beds but was all mine. Bathroom and the room itself were very clean. The place is in the quiet part of Aluksne so it was very quiet throughout the night although it was a long weekend. The center is still quite close though. There was also a little shared kitchen.

    This is a lovely apartment that is located right in the centre. Very bright and spacious. Pleasantly decorated and the bed was very comfortable. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. I have booked few places in Aluksne and this is second favourite apartment that I have stayed at.

    This is the most beautiful hotel in the city. The property is very beautiful with a luxurious design, the staff is very friendly, super helpful and professional. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy.
