Property information

Quinta do Quinto is a farm that for more than 300 years was dedicated exclusively to agricultural production. Milk, wine and olive oil were the main productions. Currently it is still in agricultural assets, but with less commercial volume. Wanting to create a unique experience the farmhouse has been reclaimed and restored for tourism. Quinta do Quinto is located in the glacier valley of Mondego River, in the parish of Cavadoude belonging to the Serra da Estrela Natural Park. An unlikely location, far from the tourist crowds, in a place you've never heard of. The valley where the farm is located allows the eyes to reach a wide and panoramic landscape. Away from the A25 (highway) that will make you feel in the heart of Serra da Estrela, but close enough not to seem unattainable. Only accessible by own transport, or by taxi, you can take advantage of the most famous neighborhood, the center of Guarda, which is 16km away, and the center of Celorico da Beira, which is 14km away.

Located between Celorico da Beira and Guarda you can take advantage of this location to know the region. A region rich in history, you can see the Roman routes, an area where D. Sancho I devoted most of his time and an area where the Jews settled. While you know the Serra da Estrela you can also enjoy the various routes of the region such as historic villages, wine, olive oil, wool, castles and Jewry. With a typical gastronomy, you can not leave without trying the cheese from the mountains, ham, olive oil, jams, curd cheese and sausages. During your stay at Quinta do Quinto besides knowing the zone you can enjoy to relax inside the property. You can go for walks, observe the woodpeckers and squirrels who like to visit us, see the varied scattered trees of the farm, hear the river while watching the stars and most importantly, hear nothing without being nature.
