Green Door is a special apartment for two people. The perfect space to unwind & rest. The apartment feels like an oasis, a luxury Queen sized bed, a beautiful bathroom & separate toilet, laundry facilities, a well-equipped kitchen, a sunny dining room & comfortable lounge. Stylish decor throughout with some quirks. What more do you need? A small garden table for two, of course. And a short walk through the gate you'll find the lagoon path for an easy walk & a water view. You can have sunset drinks on the bench in front of the lagoon with the tuis in the trees. NZ's favourite beach, Ohope is a 10-minute drive away. The Whakatane River is within walking distance. And The Strand, Whakatane's main shopping & eating area is 5 minutes by car. You are central to all of the amenities this beautiful Eastern Bay of Plenty town offers.
I'm Paula, a Nutritional Therapist & your host. My family & I have relocated to New Zealand from the UK & LOVE living in this part of paradise. Travelling extensively, we know that our guest's privacy is paramount. My husband, Ian & I love to meet & greet & are available to answer any questions or to help out, but we are never intrusive. Green Door is an extension of ourselves & our collections over the years. You'll find the apartment thoughtfully decorated in a combination of art deco & nature inspired themes. This enhances the energy of the space which is calm & grounding, restful & welcoming. Come & stay, feel it for yourself. Re-energize at Green Door.
Riverside Drive is a quiet part of Whakatane. Family houses all around. Green Door backs onto the Whakatane Lagoon with its walkway connecting to Hinemoa Street or take a circular walk around the Lagoon. Everything is within an easy drive or a beautiful walk along the river into town. Bring your bikes, it's a lovely way to get around.
