Seasonal discovery of live folk traditions in Alsunga! We offer accommodation at Eglenieku glamping in the heart of the grand Suiti region. Experience sleeping in a nature-surrounded tent, located just 15 km from the sea, secluded enough to enjoy the closeness of nature. We have prepared everything necessary for a comfortable stay close to nature: a coffee machine, grill, utensils, kitchen tools, and most importantly, a comfortable double bed, just like at home. Guests staying overnight have the opportunity to visit the host's teahouse, Sapņotava, where you can enjoy a Latvian tea ceremony. Additionally, you can learn about the healing properties of teas and immerse yourself in and enjoy the local community.

Neighbourhood information

The Suiti are a small Catholic community in the Protestant (Lutheran) western part of Latvia. The Suiti cultural space is characterized by a number of distinct features, including vocal drone singing performed by Suiti women, wedding traditions, colourful traditional costumes, the Suiti language, local cuisine, religious traditions, celebrations of the annual cycle, and a remarkable number of folk songs, dances and melodies recorded in this community.
