About this property
This unique hotel is located within the Fortezza Orsini di Sorano fortress, dating back to the 11th century. The rooms are uniquely designed and furnished, and offer views of the green Etruscan Valley. The rooms of Hotel Della Fortezza are adorned with original 19th-century furniture, and feature rustic tiled floors. some come with exposed wooden beams on the ceilings, and some rooms overlook the hamlet of Sorano. Della Fortezza Hotel is set in the most ancient part of this imposing example of mediaeval military architecture. To reach it, you have to cross the drawbridge over the moat, at the end of the small inner square. A continental buffet is served daily for breakfast. The restaurant specialises in Tuscan and national cuisine.
