About this property
This property is remotely located in Thorsmork Nature Reserve, 20 mi from Seljalandsfoss waterfall. The Volcano Huts are ONLY accessible by hiking, special regional buses or 4x4 super jeep transport (modified vehicles), at an additional charge or by hiking. All cottages feature a kitchenette, a seating area and a private terrace. All accommodation options have shared toilets. The shared showers are in a service building next to the main house. Hiking to the property is also an option as Laugavegur and Fimmvörðuháls hiking trails lead here. On-site facilities include a sauna. Reykjavik is about 130 km way. Lava Grill Restaurant & Bar serves up a menu of Icelandic cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tea/coffee and snacks are offered throughout the day. Staff are happy to help arrange jeep safaris and other activities.

The fine print
The Volcano Huts Thorsmork is in a remote location, only accessible by hiking or special buses during 1 May to 30 September.
During winter from 1 October to 30 April, transportation by super jeep is required and guests can be picked up from Seljalandsfoss waterfall or Reykjavik. There is a car park at the Seljalandsfoss pick-up point.

Although all rates are quoted in EUR, please note that charges will be made in ISK according to the exchange rate on the day that the charge is made.
Bed linen, duvets, pillows and towels are not included. You can rent them on site or bring your own. Please note that the former items are included when booking a room package.
