Hlíð Ferðaþjónusta is a complex of accomodations on the northern shore of lake Mývatn, right beneath the airport. We are situated about one kilometer away from the lakeside, in the middle of a 300 years old lava field and with a fantastic view over the lake. We offer: 🚍campground. The electricity is accessible and warm showers are free of charge for guests. 🛏 sleeping bag accommodation or Family Rooms with bedlinen included in our Hostel, 🥞 Bed&Breakfast option, 🏠 fully equipped summerhouses with a wonderful view over the lava field. You can rent bikes for either one day or ½ a day. Maps with hiking and bike routes are available from our service center. A wonderfully scenic 37 km long country road runs around the lake, ideal for biking. You can book a riding tour on an Icelandic horse with us and we will take you through the stunning surroundings of lake Mývatn, ranging from one and up to several hours.

Property information

Álfahlíð and Dvergahlíð Two houses, 50 m2 with a 22 m2 sleeping loft each . Two bedrooms are on the main floor, one with two beds (80cm wide) and the other with a double bed (120 cm wide) mattresses are provided in the sleeping loft. Four duvets and pillows are provided, bed linen is available for rent. The houses are provided with a living room, dining and kitchen facilities (stove and refrigerator) for six persons, shower and WC. The cottages are excellent year round houses, well insulated and heated with geothermal water. The cottages are the perfect option for the family holiday.
