Welcome to CARIK TANGIS Boutique Homestay: A unique home for you, your family and friends! We will make your stay a special authentic Balinese experience! We are proud we can make this happen by sharing our home with you! CARIK TANGIS Boutique HomeStay is situated in the middle of lush gardens, at the foot of Mount Batukaru and just walking distance from the beautiful Luhur Batukaru temple, close to the famous rice field terraces of Jatiluwih, hot water springs and the only butterfly park in Bali, lies CARIK TANGIS BOUTIQUE HOME STAY, a private retreat cottage. Our Boutique Homestay, built on 1600 sqm, consists of: - the main building (our original village house) with a fully furnished kitchen, open living and dining area, and a small guest room with detached bathroom. - Next to it is a small open lounge area with bamboo sofa set and beanbags. - A separate building houses two large sleeping rooms with attached outdoor bathroom and a verandah overlooking a small rice field. - Adjacent is a special place, called in Balinese bale, for meditation. - There is parking space for 2 cars
We enjoy sharing our knowledge and practices of the Balinese culture and religion. We will invite you to participate in ceremonies and we can accompany you to Luhur Baturkaru temple, a very special and mystical place where people from all of Bali come to pray and offer their blessings. We can bring you our rice fields and teach you the process of rice cultivation and offer you a cup of coffee with homemade Balinese cakes. If you fancy a locally cooked meal, then Ibu Nyoman will prepare one for you or teach you how to cook one yourself. If you are a true nature lover, we will guide you through the gardens and protected forest of our village. We like to see you happy and enjoying the nature and tranquility around us. But then a few must do's: - visit the Pura Luhur Baturkaru temple - take a walk through the rice fields of our village or visit the Unesco Cultural Heritage site of Jatiluwih - explore the gardens and forest with hidden small temples to visit. - visit the beautiful butterfly park, especially in the morning when the butterfly comes out of its cocoon. - Visit the Bali Tree Top Adventure park in Bedugul Botanical gardens and combine it with a visit to the lake - relax in the nearby hotsprings
