Location was beautiful - excellent walks right there. The Lodge was charming with lots of its original features like old windows, arched doorways and an amazingly huge lock on the sturdy front door. But lovely and cosy with all mod cons

Offering stylish accommodation for both a romantic getaway and exploring the beauty of the The Peak District countryside. Newly refurbished Grade 2 listed Tudor style lodge dating back to around 1785. (Linked semi detached) outstanding views over the River Wye and the Monsal Trail. Traditional Cosy Lounge with open fire, leading to newly fitted kitchen with granite worktops and table with breathtaking views of the river from the shared terrace. On site parking for one vehicle. Beautiful bathroom with separate shower cubical and roll top bath. Double bedroom (Please be aware due to the age of the property the staircase is steep and upstairs ceilings a little low in the apex therefore probably not suitable for individuals with limited mobility
Cressbrook offers access to beautiful views of the River Wye, and the focal point of Cressbrook Mill where access can be made to the Monsal Trail taking you to Millersdale in one direction and Bakewell to the other. Follow the footpath to Water cum Jolly for rock climbing, and birdwatching, and some super walks. The lane from the Lodge leads to Ravensdale which is adjacent to Cressbrook Dale (a National Nature Reserve)a gorge-like limestone walk with numerous crags with wildlife and rare flowers.
