Semi-detached 2 storey house comprising of kitchen/dining/living space, 3 double and 1 single bedrooms, toilet with shower and toilet with bath. Linen and towels provided. Fully equipped to provide a relaxing self catering holiday in the outskirts of Lerwick. House is in a quiet residential area with private parking but close to all the local amenities of Lerwick. Electric, heating and free WiFi included. Tv in living room and all bedrooms. Garden space to side of property. Close to hill walks.
John and Lynne would like to welcome you to their self catering property in Lerwick. We would like to give you any assistance required to ensure that your stay in Shetland is as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. John works with a local firm as a building centre manager and Lynne is a retired Macmillan nurse but still helps out with delivering chemotherapy when the local team is short staffed. Our hobbies include deep sea fishing on our boat, DIY, travelling , gardening and socialising. We are native Shetlanders and are keen to ensure that you access everything that Shetland has to offer. There are many notable events throughout the year including UpHelly Aa, music festivals, knitting week and various regattas and country shows. We look forward to welcoming you to our property and ensuring you have an enjoyable stay.
The property is in Upper Baila which is a quiet residential area on the edge of Lerwick. It is under 1 mile from the town centre of Lerwick and a short walk from public transport to many areas of Shetland. It is close to shops, Clickamin sports centre and all the facilities in Lerwick. There are a variety of restaurants in Lerwick and the surrounding area. The nearest beach “Sands of Sound” is a 10 minute walk and the Clickamin brochure is nearby. There is a variety of wildlife to be seen in The immediate area including seals,otters, Shetland ponies and occasional pods of orcas. There are many notable historical sites in Shetland including St Ninian’s isle, Jarlshoff and Mousa Broch.
