Neighbourhood information

The area of Protaras, in Famagusta district extends to a radious of about 15-20 Kms and connects to Paralimni on one side and Ayia napa on the other. Protaras is a resort in eastern coast of Cyprus, known for its beautiful beaches and for Fig Tree Bay with its old, lone fig tree. Fig tree Bay was voted by Trip advisor readers as the 11th best beach in the world. Above the bay are excavated Hellenistic tombs. To the northwest, atop a rock, the limestone Church of Profitis Ilias marks one end of a nature trail that leads to Konnos Beach. To the south, Cape Greco National Forest Park has clear waters and protected pine forest trails. In Protaras and Ayia Napa you will find virtually all type of entertainment, endless restaurants and bars, shops and supermarkets and numerous activities of all kinds. Great Kings Resort is located at Kapparis area, one of the most know in Protaras with a great number of restaurants and shops in short distance.
