Feeling Trees was built with love by my close friends Diego and Chechu, along with their children Nadim and Adara. As a family, they’ve poured years of care into this land, turning it into a lush jungle garden that reflects their deep connection to nature. The name Feeling Trees says it all, it’s about slowing down, tuning in, and feeling the magic of this place. Diego and Chechu live at the entrance of the property and are always happy to share a smile, a story, or some local wisdom. Their days follow the peaceful rhythm of the sea: surfing, fishing, beach walks, and embracing the simple beauty around them. Every corner of the lodge carries their love and intention. I’m Mauricio, part of the family in spirit and the manager of the lodge. I’m here to make sure you have everything you need for an amazing stay and to help you experience the calm, joy, and freedom that Feeling Trees was made to share.

The Neighborhood Feeling Trees is tucked away just 300 meters from the main road, at the end of a quiet, no-exit street — no traffic, no noise, just peace and nature all around. Access is easy and no 4x4 vehicle is needed. The area is safe and private, with fenced grounds and secure on-site parking. Diego and Chechu live at the entrance of the property, and we offer 24/7 concierge service to help with anything you need during your stay. Cabuya is a small, authentic coastal village surrounded by natural beauty. From the lodge, you can walk to hidden waterfalls, hike through the Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, visit the nearby island on foot at low tide, or take a boat trip to an underwater volcano. The beach is just 400 meters away — calm, uncrowded, and perfect for swimming, fishing, or simply relaxing. You’ll also find great local restaurants and bars within walking distance, serving traditional Costa Rican food and artisanal beer in a laid-back, friendly atmosphere.
