Royal Manor is a special property as it has all the conveniences of a North American home, yet it is located in a tropical climate. Here we are cooled by the Caribbean sea breezes and on a really hot day a dip in the pool, is just the thing needed to make life more comfortable. The property is close to downtown shopping, banking and makes exploring easy in this lazy seaside town. Meeting the locals is always fun as they are very friendly and helpful. The Ruins of Santa Rita are located at the edge of the town, and are a must see.

I am a retired hotelier and enjoy having guests stay at Royale Manor. Imagine not having to administer 136 rooms, but to have the time when I am in the country to enjoy the guests. I enjoy helping guests plan their visits around the area and assist them in exploring. There is something for everyone, some want full blown adventures and others just want to take it easy with little side trips. Whatever their fancy, I am here to assist. I have enjoyed travelling in this little, English speaking country. There are so many things to see and do. I have travelled to all the cities and many villages in Belize. One of my favourite places is San Pedro, but only for a few days because it is very touristy. I am a pilot and have flown throughout British Columbia, the Yukon, Alaska and most of the Canadian western provinces, as well as neighboring states. I have three grown children and seven grandchildren. My granddaughter came with me on an exploratory trip to Belize in 2000, and at that time I purchased the house at 419. I am an abstract artist and enjoy capturing the colours of Belize. I also enjoy photography as a hobby.

Overlooking the sea, Bay Shore Drive is the most prestigious street in Corozal. There are several restaurants in the neighborhood, one a half block away and three only about a 10 minute walk away, all of them have ocean views. It is a 20 minute walk to town where there is shopping, the outdoor market and banking available, as well as many restaurants. There is a public beach on the way to town called Miami Beach and there are parks in the downtown area. Taxi cabs are plentiful and very reasonable, costing about15 dollars Belize (7.30 US) to go downtown. The town has a Water Park which is delightful. Just on the outskirts of town are the ruins of Santa Rita. The restaurants in Corozal are very interesting, as there is a variety of foods. You'll enjoy staying at Royale Manor as the house faces the sea and the canal is at the rear of the house. There is a 41 ft slip. The pool is in the backyard and is a very welcome amenity when it gets hot.
