A small scale complex with very helpful and friendly staff. Large, clean and well equipped cottages set in a beautiful leafy garden. The guesthouse booked 2 very reasonably priced tours for us (Victoria Falls & river cruise) that were excellent....

We built these self catering units (and 2 others at our home) in 2012 because was no self catering accommodation available in the whole of Kasane and we as a family have always preferred self catering accommodation. We also wish to build affordable accommodation as Kasane had developed a reputation for being very expensive. Trish (me) is a landscaper and was able to landscape the property so that there is privacy in the rooms despite the fact that the units are very close together. The result is a very lush garden and when you sit on the verandas you will feel like you are in a little tropical oasis. As indeed you are. The pool is situated so that you can look on toward the river. The area between the lodge and the river has been made as attractive as possible for the small animals who visit us. An indigenous grass was planted which the warthogs love and there are mud wallows for them too cool themselves on our hot summers days. We mulch all the plant beds around the units so that there are always yummy grubs growing for our troop of banded mongooses. They will visit often. Elephants do grace us with their company at very specific times of the year.
Trish and Geoff have lived in Botswana for 37years and in Kasane for the last 25. They know pretty much all there is to know about where to go and what to do as well as the history of the area. Geoff wonders through the property every morning and evening and likes nothing better than to be waylaid for a chat. Trish is usually to be found in the back office during office hours sweating over the books, but pop in and see her if you want a chat. Boitumelo is our receptionist and bookings manager. She is lovely. Always kind, even tempered and helpful. Our other staff are also very helpful and cheerful. We are a happy staff who open each day with a bible reading. prayer and daily discussions. This developed camaraderie shows in t\our overall demeanor and contentment. We like each other. We hope you will like us too. Happy travels.
Kasane is all about the wildlife and the safari experience. Most people do a game drive ( morning or evening ) a boat cruise and a day trip to Victoria Falls ( one of the 7 natural wonders of the world). For these minimum activities you will need to stay 3 nights. We encourage you to stay a little longer. The morning and evening game drives are very different so you should experience both. Our animals are prolific and you will almost certainly see a lot. But each day you go out will be different and we do not believe you will see enough in just a single game drive. There is also a community initiative at Seboba. A walk through this area is highly recommended. It is without a doubt set on the most beautiful part of the river with a small hill affording a spectacular view of the Mbovo rapids and Namibia. The World of Wildlife centre rehabilitates wounded and orphaned animals and you can see plenty of snakes as well as other rare small animals you would not otherwise see.
