Having previously owned a different safari lodge in Kasane, the owners of Chobe House wanted to provide for a better safari experience. Key to these changes were an understanding that guests are paying a lot of money for their safari holiday and there are certain things that traditional lodges don't cater well for. These include:
1. Privacy and intimacy when it comes to accommodation, dining and activities, as well as being able to build a relationship with the hotel staff, all of whom are a key part of providing our guests with their dream holiday.
2. We cater for health and wellness, by building an on-site gym and providing massages and beauty therapies which can be booked with our reception.
3. The food plays a large role in our vision. Some guests enjoy self catering and some enjoy being cooked for, so we cater for both. Should you choose our catered option you will find enthusiastic chefs who have taken local Botswana cuisine as their inspiration, and added their own flare with the task of keeping it balanced, nutritious and exciting.
4. Finally, we want our guests to be able to take ownership of their safari holiday, with the added support of our activities staff, who are on-site to make sure you are able to take part in whatever activity takes your fancy.

Neighbourhood information
Kasane is the gateway to the Chobe National Park, located very near Victoria Falls at the most northern part of Botswana.
Famed for its large and diverse wildlife populations, Kasane is particularly well-known for elephants, who are frequently seen in their hundreds, if not thousands, from the unique vantage point of your own safari boat, as they spend the afternoon swimming, playing and drinking in the Chobe River.
The Chobe is one of very few places in Africa where you can spot lions and leopards by land or by river, with game viewers and safari boats.
Ranked frequently as the top safari destination in Africa, Kasane is a very friendly tourist-focused town located directly on the river, and directly next to the Chobe National Park. Kasane is very well established with plenty of shops, tourist activities, doctors, pharmacies and an international airport located 8 minutes away.
