Fantastic spot to stay at when traveling solo! Location is right by the Venice beach and the area is safe, the room has access to private bathroom, heater and is tidy and clean - haven’t heard much outside noise either. Gary is a terrific host, makes you feel very welcomed and comfortable

One of the best places to stay for cheap in L.A. - it's a really cute, family-owned guesthouse, with the family staying next door. They are just absolutely wonderful people, I talked to some neighbors who said the same thing. Everything was great - the beds comfy, the place very clean and spacious, and the location amazing. Trust me, you don't wanna stay right on Hollywood Boulevard, this is much better. Go check out Franklin Ave as well while you're staying there. The metro station is just 10 walking minutes away, and you have a 7/11 just a couple of mins away. While I was there I saw that the city of L.A. put a notice of hearing on their fence, suggesting to demolish the building in order to transform the property into an apartment duplex. I really hope that isn't happening!!! This is such a gem of a place, so that would be such a shame.

The staff was so kind, especially Lulu, she's really professional. Thanks to her, I could spend a warm night with my sister. They had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, along with towels, and the free breakfast was excellent.

A short walk to the heart of the touristy part of Hollywood. We walked around until nightfall then got an Uber back to the hotel. We parked in the multi-storey car park on the corner of Argyle Ave and Carlos Ave, which worked out cheaper than hotel parking. We booked a Suite, which was perfect for us and the teens. I had an issue with my credit card and they were willing to offer me the 1st night until I could get money from the bank.
