Visited Punta del Diablo at the beginning of December, still not high season, not warm enough, and quite empty. One night and one day were enough to visit the village and walk around the beaches! Beware of having cash with you, many lodgings and commerces don't accept credit cards as a payment method. It is a wonderful place to retreat to, rest and at the same time be connected. There are two good local supermarkets, restaurants, a bus link to Cabo Polonio for a day visit and a direct bus from Montevideo or Rocha. Hosts Juan and Yolanda are attentive and on hand to help if you need them.
