A lot of people had told us to visit other cities over Austin - but being from Melbourne we absolutely loved it. A beautiful clean city, offering fantastic restaurants and beautiful parks. We spent a limited amount of time here but will definitely be back to explore all that we missed.

Visited Austin to see family members.
Visited Austin to see family members. Picked the Extended Stay near Lakeline mall on the 183 service road, as it was convenient to the area they live in. The Lobby area was not clean, floors were dirty, the parking area needed to have the trash picked up. The outside entrance was very dirty and did not seem to be very safe. The floors of the elevator matched the lobby floors as they were equally as dirty. As we entered the floor for our room the lack of housekeeping continued.
When we got to our room it also needed to have the carpets cleaned. In summary the pictures online must have been taken when the hotel first opened as they were not a good example of what it actually is. I have stayed in dozens of hotels over the years and would not recommend this one to my worst enemy.

We are Austinites and decided to stay at the Fair Mont for a Mother’s Day getaway. I’ve stayed there before however she hadn’t. She had an incredible time and that in itself meant the world to me. Our room was amazing as well as the view from it. The restaurants and all of the staff were amazing too from the time that we arrived and throughout our entire stay. Everyone went above and beyond by making our staycation unforgettable. We highly recommend the Fairmont and we will definitely be back soon.

Austin is a vibrant city with an eclectic mixture of old and new. It has a vibrancy that only comes from a city on the move! You can still get plenty of authentic Texas bbq and tex mex fare as well as other good restaurants. Public transport is excellent and easy and inexpensive to use.
I splurged and upgraded to an historic king room and that was very worthwhile as I received a quiet comfortable room with a view that had easy accessibility to both Brazos and Sixth. The Driskill is in the liveliest nightclub area of town so I am not sure how quiet it would have been on a weekend. This hotel is in a great location for seeing everything in downtown Austin. I ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant which serves a delicious brunch every day until 2 pm.
The location is great. I didn't have a car, but it was very close walking distance to downtown Austin and the venues in East Austin. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were nice. I had a room with a shared bathroom. I never had to wait to use the shared facilities. They were always available. The showers all had great pressure and hot water. And it was a good deal for a weeklong stay.
The Hotel Indigo is a lovely place to stay with boutique-like finishes. The bed and pillows were heavenly, shower was excellent and it's well located to walk around downtown Austin or grab a ride share to nearby attractions. The room had a mini fridge (not listed on the description) which was nice to have available. The decor is creative and lively, the bar downstairs is nice for a nightcap drink.
The hotel is well-situated in downtown Austin. Personnel was friendly and helpful. My room was very nice, comfortable, with everything I needed. Even the small kitchen was quite well furnished. The common areas are well taken care of. I appreciated the swimming pool, gym and working spots in the lobby. There is a coin laundry room as well.
I had a very comfortable stay and I would 100% recommend.
The bed was mega comfortable, were the burns in the comforter, yes, but we brought our own blankets and it was the most comfortable hotel bed i’ve ever slept on! all lamps and facilities worked
shower head was new
location is kinda sketch but worth it to be near downtown austin for such a cheap price
no homeless or scary characters milling about, and we were there ACL weekend one, very quiet
When visiting the USA we like to stay in Historic Houses. We also had a great time at breakfast talking to other people staying at the property. Barb and the team were great fun. Hyde Park is an interesting area away from downtown Austin. Uber in to Austin is cheaper than parking and easier. Also visit Avenue b Grocery and market for excellent sandwiches. Easy walk to restaurants.
The location is brilliant - right in the centre of downtown, next to the Capitol. We walked everywhere and there are public buses nearby to get to different parts of Austin (including one that goes directly to the aiport).
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, beds very comfortable and excellent shower pressure. Good WiFi signal.
Communication with the renter was exceptional from the beginning. The location is close to downtown and a good starting point for activities in and around Austin. The amenities of the apartment were great. There is everything you need. Easy entry with number code, no key necessary.
Loved the room and the hotel. It was very clean and very comfortable beds. We were only there for a concert and stayed 1 night but did want to stay longer and do more things in Austin. I will stay there again. It is not downtown but it was very nice!
The staff at the desk and front door were always friendly! Leslie the bartender in the lobby was full of great information about Austin. The location was close to everything downtown. The breakfast in the hotel was excellent and so was the service.
Amazing little apartment in a great area of Austin. Close to Congress Ave and only about 10 minutes by car or 40 minutes by walking to get to downtown. Comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Washing machine and dryer was a nice option too.
The staff is very friendly. The hotel is clean and very inviting. The rooms are very small, but efficient. The decor, is just plain fun! Perfect location for getting around downtown Austin. Definitely for the young and young at heart.
clean, and convenient if you have something to do downtown. It’s very close to everything and the hotel is clean and the breakfast is the best I’ve tried at a hotel. Also the valet parking was so convenient since I was new at Austin.
The location of the hotel is not to far from Downtown Austin. I really enjoyed the stay. Everything is really close to the hotel. There is a lot of shopping centers near by and it is a really nice area.
downtown location opposite Austin City Limits concert venue
spacious and fully equipped
comfortable and well-organised
no face-to-face interaction with staff but everything worked
Everything was very clean and modern inside of the hotel room. A quick and cheap uber away from Austin... a better alternative than staying right in the city center!
Comfortable and relatively cheap. Great location, close to the Texas Capitol and downtown area as well as some great restaurants and breweries in East Austin.
Priced competitively compared to many other Austin hotels but after finding a 71$/night La Quinta in downtown, that competitive advantage won't last long
Location
Proximity to downtown and South Austin and trail around lake
Beds were comfortable
View was as expected and paid for
Staff excellent
Food good
