Hotels in the Maldives

We just came back home and wondering from where to start this review. Rattehi Inn at Rakeedhoo absolutely went above all our expectations. New hotel with best staff and management who treat you like a family member. Hotel manager Niya lives the hospitality and will accommodate every request you ask. I hope we were not too demanding but literally what we asked it happened, from the tours off the island, special celebrations, additional dining options, everything. Menu in the restaurant is not long at the moment since they just started but we heard about plans to extend it a bit. Nevertheless, all meals prepared by the chef were wonderful. Buffet breakfast great as well every morning. Waiters Daminder and Eric and Houskeeper Baboo are kindest people we met, hard workers but always with sincere smile. Island by itself is the smallest inhabited in all Maldives, however there are a lot of options around and we are already making plans when we come back what to do. For the end if you are checking pictures of other islands, reading experiences of other people about Maldives or having any doubts just stop, nothing can be compared what Niya and his team can do here to make your vacation wonderful and make you sad on departure day, but with strong wish to come back again. Great location, excellent cleanliness, and very friendly hosts. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, making for a pleasant stay.

Very new hotel with new facilities. Lots of spaces, shelves, and hooks in our room to store things. Room was comfortable with good AC and functional balcony. Staff was super friendly and helpful, appreciate their help with all our questions.

A great place for a long stay on Thoddoo. Here are some of the pros of Hudhufas Villa: - Excellent location: 5 min’ walk to the sunrise beach, 10-15 min to the sunset beach. Most shops and restaurants are within 1-8 min. - Nice, bright, and clean rooms. Special mention for the comfortable mattresses and pillows, as well as the quiet night mode of the air conditioner (which is not always the case). - Daily cleaning and regular linen changes. - The villa itself is very pleasant, with a garden full of various plants, common areas both indoors and outdoors (on the first floor and on the terrace). It's worth noting that the guesthouse has only four rooms, so it won’t be crowded. - Convenient facilities for preparing meals: in addition to small refrigerators in the rooms, there is a large shared refrigerator with a freezer, a kettle, a toaster, a stove, and all necessary tableware. - We had a stay with breakfast included - and it was hearty and delicious. Three breakfast options, all very tasty. There are always some fruits available at the breakfast. - The villa has four bicycles available for use. - Many thanks to the owner, Shifau, who always was very nice and helpful, and fully dedicated to his work.

One of our best vacations ever. The host Areef was helpful in so many areas trying to treat us in a VIP-like manner. Even introduced us to his family and took us on several breathtaking excursions with his boat. A definite recommedation!

We were lucky enough to stay at this wonderful hotel during our holiday in Dhigurah, and we can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. The property is brand new, with a simple yet beautifully designed style, spotlessly clean, and up to full European standards. With only a few rooms, it guarantees peace and privacy — perfect for those seeking relaxation and quiet. But what truly makes this hotel special is the staff: attentive, friendly, always smiling, and ready to help in any situation. One example? We accidentally locked the scooter keys under the seat during a heavy rain… and within minutes, three people of the staff came to help us, without hesitation, in the pouring rain! Such kindness and dedication truly moved us. We felt pampered, welcomed, and cared for with both discretion and professionalism. If we return to Dhigurah — and we truly hope to — we will definitely choose this hotel again! It deserves much more visibility, because it’s a true gem on the island. Great room, very clean, nice terrace and bikini beach and restaurants really close. And we really enjoyed our stay here because of the amazing team and their good work on hospitality. Everyone was super helpful and nice all the time. Snorkeling gear and a orientation snorkeling was included and we booked one of the many excursions they offer which was amazing too. Can absolutely recommend this place if you come to mahibadhoo.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire Isla Retreat team for their exceptional and warm hospitality. Their dedication to creating a memorable experience was evident in every interaction, and we are already eagerly anticipating our next visit to this little paradise on earth. The rooms are stunning. They are not only aesthetically pleasing but also very well designed and very comfortable. Evening turn down service was an added bonus! The bathrooms are also equally stunning, clean and functional. Ismail and his team, especially Akoo, made my family and I feel very welcome. They both offered us great advice. The restaurant is another highlight and comes highly recommended. The food, including the desserts, were absolutely delicious. As a vegetarian, I greatly appreciated how the restaurant went above and beyond to cater to my dietary needs. As a family, we loved every moment spent at Isla Retreat. Highly recommended, cannot wait to return.

This is a new guesthouse and I was one of the first guests to book it. Unfortunately I only stayed one night as the other place was fully booked so I had to move. I stayed in 3 different places on this island and this is what i preferred the most. Clean, spacious and had a nice view from the room. The owner met me upon check in and helped me to book the early morning speedboat as I had to catch my flight the next day. They prepared continental breakfast before I left (6AM) which was also helpful. I recommend this place and may return if I visit Thoddoo again.
