Boasting a bar, Lapland Hotels Arena is situated in Tampere in the Western Finland region, 500 metres from Nokia Arena and 400 metres from Tampere University. We stayed for the World Hockey Championships. The room we had was the Arctic Loft for three of us. While the room is a bit on the smaller side it is absolutely immaculately clean. The bathroom is fantastic and overall it has a very cozy atmosphere. Important detail to know - room does not have a micro wave. The staff was first class. The receptionists were very friendly and helped us find our way to the arena. The breakfast is the best breakfast we have ever had anywhere in the world. The sheer selection, quality and taste, along with a very attentive wait staff made for an experience we still talk about. Overall we have to rate the hotel a 10/10. We will be back for sure.

Featuring a restaurant, bar and views of city, Hotel AX is set in Helsinki, 2.4 km from Hietaranta Beach. Great weekend stay! The staff is friendy. You are welcomed by a quirky dragon on the door. It is so easy to get to from the train station by tram. The room was very spacious and was modern. There was enough lighting and the bed was super comfortable. It was not a hotel where they skimped on stuff like these days many hotels do. They had coffee, tea and a kettle in the room. The breakfast was quite a spread. The spread was just okayish, very industrial. The bagels were good! Overall a great stay.

Located in Espoo, 1.7 km from Matinkylä Beach, Hotel Matts provides accommodation with a terrace, private parking, a restaurant and a bar. I left my reading glasses in the room when I checked out. When following up with the reception staff online, they found the glasses and then posted them to me in Switzerland. I truly appreciated the effort and will stay again on my next visit. Great service!

Attractively situated in the Kallio district of Helsinki, Citybox Helsinki is situated 1.4 km from Helsinki Cathedral, 1.6 km from Helsinki Central Station and 1.7 km from Helsinki Olympic Stadium. Very new, great aesthetics, great room size for 1 person, fast check-in. Very close to a metro station, there is also a tram station near-by. Some supermarkets are around and that's great to get some stuff (food or hygiene) at accessible prices. I also found it close to walk to the city center but it depends on how used to walk is the person.
