You can feel that he must treat his staff very well as they all share the same style. I can wholeheartedly recommend his house as base for a stay in this area. And: The lodge is strategically located right at the fence of the caste-complex and has - from the terrasse - a great view.

This 3-star hotel offers a concierge service and a tour desk.... Throughly enjoyed staying at the Amba Lodge. Gashaw and family were warm and wonderful hosts. Room was simple, clean and comfortable with the most amazing view from the terrace. The meals served at the Lodge are generous portions and we started the day with healthy fruits and honey. Gashaw picked us up at the airport and arranged all the visit itinerary. We also enjoyed a lovely short trek up at the Asheton Maryam monastery for some fantastic views with Gashaw as guide. We really appreciate that Gashaw never sells us anything we did not want. We had a peaceful trip without worrying about anything.
