We were over the moon from A to Z : the service was exceptional, the room was magnificent, the staff was the best staff we ever had in our life. We saw the big 5 3 times over the 4 days. I can't even say thank you enough and how grateful we are for the experience we have lived. It is a once in a lifetime. All the small attentions, the care, the love. Everything. What an experience this has been! The property is located inside Kapama Private Game Reserve, just a 20-30 minutes ride from the airport (which started well - on our way, we saw quite a few animals, including a beautiful resting lion). The staff is wonderful - so friendly and helpful, they really do go an extra mile to make your stay as memorable as possible. The room is spacious and beautifully decorated. The game drives leave you speechless. This was our third safari - and definitely it had been the best one! And we were genuinely surprised by the quality and diversity of food and drinks - menu changes every day, everything is very fresh and tasty, with a great selection of alcohol and wines. When we checked out, wonderful Claire asked us if we were said - when we said of course, she replied that it’s the goal to never want you to leave and to look forward to coming back! And we already are!

Absolutely loved our time at Little Africa and would have stayed much longer if we could have! The small size of the lodge meant the setting felt very intimate and personalised, and we found each of the staff members a pleasure to deal with. The drivers and tracker for the game drives were engaging and get you amazingly close to the wildlife- we were able to see all of the big 5 within the first 3 drives. The food also deserves a special mention- was home prepared according to personal preference and was delicious!

We had the best time at Phelwana! We’d really recommend staying at the lodge. We stayed in the tent and it was immaculately clean. Every morning we were greeted with different animals at the tent like monkeys, baboons, bunnies, deer and even a baby giraffe! The staff were exceptional, really friendly and helpful. Every member of staff went above and beyond for us to ensure our stay was excellent. We especially loved Jeffrey who made sure our every meal was amazing and that we had everything we needed. He even taught us some of his mother tongue language and we loved his jokes! Sly was an excellent guide who was so knowledgeable on our game drives. The game drives and bush walk were so cool and we saw so many animals like hippos, zebra, giraffes. The food was so nice, every meal we had was perfect! Inkomu swinene 🙏

    It was a brilliant experience, in particular the game drives and being out in the wild. The resort is excellent! Tips: No loo on a 3-hour game drive so don’t drink too much before heading out. For photographers - consider using two cameras - short lens and long lens ones. Saves having to switch lens if you have two cameras ready. Speed if reaction is required to capture some shots.

    The food in River Lodge was superb, and the service from all staff from game drives and walks, bar and restaurant, spa and house keeping were fabulous. A 3 day stay minimum would be recommended, but we did 5 and didnt want to leave.

    This was my fourth time at Kapama.

    This was my fourth time at Kapama. Saw the big five within the first day. It never disappoints. This is a magical place that makes me happy. The guide and the tracker are very knowledgeable and make the ride enjoyable. The food is exceptional with different options at each meal. The staff is accommodating and pleasant and makes you feel like you’re at home. They go above and beyond to make your stay the best experience ever.

    This is my 2nd stay and I'll be going back.

    This is my 2nd stay and I'll be going back. The opportunity to see wildlife in their natural habitat at Kapama is amazing. The Guides are phenomenal! Truly gifted with their ability to track animals. Each visit I've been lucky enough to see the Big 5 and so much more. Each game drive is an adventure in itself!

    Friendly staff, luxurious accommodation, excellent food with great attention given to guests’ special dietary needs. Superb game drives with knowledgeable ranger and tracker on private vehicle. Air conditioned rooms with private pool. Very close to Eastgate Airport which is ideal. Highly recommended!

    I can´t compare to other game reserves cause this was the...

    I can´t compare to other game reserves cause this was the only I´ve visit, but Kapama is amazing, we saw the Big5 easily on the second day The rangers are very determined you see all of them. We saw lions almost every day.
