The comfiest bed I've ever slept in. The room was wonderful with its own kitchen facilities and right across the road from the mercantile. The staff were very professional/friendly and the facilities were so much better than we had hoped. We were in the States for 3 weeks and this was our best accommodation by far.

The historic downtown was under construction.

The historic downtown was under construction. We wanted to visit the Pioneer Woman establishments but couldn’t access them - bad timing. Downtown was difficult to navigate. I recommend waiting until roads are are no longer under construction. We did enjoy dinner at P Town. Staff were lovely! We shared the chopped salad and mushroom pizza. The food was delicious! I do recommend that all establishments post warnings that they are not ADA compliant. P Town front entrance was a steep long staircase. No elevators. P Town does have a back entrance my 85 yo Mom could use and staff brought a chair outside for her to sit while I brought the car around the block and down the alley to get her. I can’t emphasize enough that the staff & food were wonderful. The historic building is pretty but should be be brought into compliance with ADA or warnings should be posted on websites.

We didn't know there was so much to do here.

We didn't know there was so much to do here. There is the tall grass prairie, a fun downtown to explore, the people were friendly fun people, lots of old buildings that have been remodeled and repurposed, stores for gifts and shopping, but lets not forget the desserts. I didn't eat for about 7 hrs after leaving pawhuska, i ate too much there. Triggers bbq is tasty and omg the sauce. Go have some fun

    Nice small town.

Nice small town. Much history related to the Osage Indian Tribe, Oil & Gas Industry, and Ranching. Restaurants associated with the Mercantile were all excellent. Great food, large servings, reasonable prices. Tallgrass Prairie was a fascinating location

Everyone was nice we eat at P town, Charlie's, and the Pioneer Woman restaurant and the bakery it was all great the food was excellent and shopped at the Merchantile. Then we went.to her ranch my daughter and i had so much fun. Hope to do it again. What a great weekend trip, memories to last a lifetime.

We had breakfast At the Mercantile.

We had breakfast At the Mercantile. We went early, so there was no line and the food was good. Be aware this town closes on Sunday. There’s nothing open except Sonic and Dollar General so don’t plan on visiting anything on Sunday.

There is beautiful scenery and side trips to take.

There is beautiful scenery and side trips to take. A lot of history here. Not a lot of dining options, The Mercantile, P-Town Pizza, Buffalo Joe’s, Trigger’s BBQ. Must sees, Woolaroc Museum and Preserve, Tallgrass Prairie Reserve.
