Check what else is available against price. This is basic camping and certainly not in a fruit rain forest. We were ok with it after we adjusted our concept of what it was. Update- I just found the message on booking.com telling me how to get to the resort and what to do. It was accurate. I retract the statement that I never received my email, it was a message on booking.com that I didn’t see or receive till after my visit. Otherwise it was a nice rustic resort in the rainforest. I loved this place.
I loved this place. It was very private, nice sized kitchen and bedroom. Perfect for anyone who would like to spend a few days exploring the Volcanoes National Park. It's a little far from everything else, but it worked great for us as we spent 2 days exploring the national park and 2 days enjoying the sites and beaches of Hilo.Guest review byJohnUnited States

Off the beaten path, beautiful plants and flowers surrounding the property. Saw local wildlife on the drive in and out of the property. Accommodations were what I expected at the price. We chose to spend our money seeing Hawaii instead of a hotel room. The room was clean and comfortable. Hot water for a shower and a place to make coffee in the morning.
