United KingdomReally pleasantly surprised. Was the first room we've had in weeks on the road that didn't have a musty smell from the A/C! Staff all friendly and good English, working (and cheap!) washer and dryer, no advertised breakfast but as others have said, there IS a standard American continental breakfast included for all guests (waffles, bagels, toast, cereal, yoghurt, fruit - usual stuff, nothing fancy but enough to start the day). Served 0600-0900, it's of note that nobody came into the breakfast room at 0859 to passive aggressively pack up (as is common in US motels I've found) - the staff allowed everyone to finish their breakfast unrushed and didn't start removing things until everyone had left by about 0925. No bed bugs on inspection, metal bedframe and proper bedding in place to effectively prevent these. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker in the room, good hot water pressure, lots of towels provided, good size room and no glaring problems/everything looked alright and functional. Would absolutely stay again.

Do not recommend! The room i received was over run with flies, mosquitoes, gnats and spiders. The walls looked like they had not been cleaned in months and the bed linens were filthy! The bathroom toilet seat was broken and housekeeping was denied being able to replace it & the bathroom sink was plugged - cleaned it a little because it was so disgusting!!! I will NOT Recommend this place of business to ANYONE! We are business owners of a 100 year plus family owned business, receiving over 50% of our business in our county and you treat your clients with the utmost customer service and courtesy.. This is a very great place to stay. Area is convenient to restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing. Check in was fast , easy and hassle free. No security deposits like last two motels. Swimming pool was inside very nice. It was to cold for me. I wish it had been heated. We stayed in a king room. The room was very nice. Had a recliner chair. Made it feel like my living room at home. The king size bed was nice. Not pillow soft but it slept fine. Parking lot was easy parking. The room had refrigerator. Coffee maker , and microwave. They had iron board, blow dryer , great big bath tub with shower. Carpet flooring which was nice. I enjoyed my stay. Wish had more time to stay in area sight see but on schedule so only able to stay one night. The price was reasonable. Use coupon from welcome center for best price. The restaurant Pizza Zone was great place to eat. Good salad bar was priced well. The pizza , pasta , salad bar , ice cream , and dessert was so good. The area is easy to drive with every thing you need close by you. The pizza zone had game room big nice for all ages. Family meal with fun game room. Next time I would plan on a longer stay to sight see the area. The area was really nice with a lot to do. So much to see. I enjoyed this area so much. I highly recommend this motel for your stay. Mitchell is a very fun place that we will return to.
Mitchell is a very fun place that we will return to. I have been there a few times before, but this trip was to introduce my granddaughter to the area. The Corn Palace was cute and fun. But the prehistoric Indian village archaeological site was out of this world. We also enjoyed their Museum. And their gift shop. The bathroom was the issue with the room. Everything worked but the floor was dirty when we arrived. There was hair in the bathtub. The pipes above our room leak or have leaked. There was mold on the ceiling along with water damage. There was also mold on the wall. Things just are not fixed anywhere near to professionally. I wouldn't recommend anybody to stay here.
