Our third family trip to Encinitas, a charming beach town, was a delightful experience. Its quiet and walkable streets made it an ideal destination for a family vacation. We cycled along Neptun Avenue and relaxed on the beach near the Stone Steps. The town boasts a variety of great restaurants and coffee shops. I love everything about Encinitas.
I love everything about Encinitas. It is one of the spots where you can go and feel like a local even if your not. I have stayed at the 12 Senses Retreat which was super cool with their nature themed rooms and the amazing hostess. And it is just up the road from Swammi's Beach and the Self Relization Center, which is gorgeous. I have stayed at Brisas Pacific Hotel which was super affordable and a few minutes walk to the beach. You can pretty much walk everywhere in Encinitas. I plan to move there myself soon :)Guest review byBrettUnited States - 10.0
Charming surf town.
Charming surf town. We enjoyed walking the beach, watching the local surfers and the sunset from the bluffs. Plenty of shopping and restaurants all within walking distance. Bigger box type stores for groceries, etc within about a 10 minute drive. Traffic was not bad. We visited San Diego Botanical Garden and highly recommend.Guest review byManuel - 10.0

Unfortunately, we had a very busy wedding weekend and didn't have much time for learning more about the city of Encinitas. We enjoyed the places we visited (Encinitas Cafe for breakfast and the Solterra Winery for the rehearsal dinner). Food and ambiance was great. That is my experience each time. The live-in managers are accommodating and cordial. The hotel is set far enough away from the train tracks so you barely here the train when it passes. The room's window and door are open when empty so you can be certain that the air is fresh when you walk in.
