This place is unexpectedly lovely. The rooms are very clean, well equipped and quiet. The owner is very nice. And the prices are much lower than in Blanding, Monticello or Cortez.

This was a great location between several National Parks (Mesa Verde, Canyonlands, Arches) as well as not too far from several state parks and other sites of interest. This corner of the Southwest has such a varied geography that there's something for everyone not too far away!

Older motel like from when my parents took us on road trips 50 years ago, but great location with plenty of parking if you're towing boats or ATVs. No breakfast to speak of, but I think they offer coffee & donuts in the office. There IS a little grocery store and a few restaurants within walking distance. The rooms are clean & the staff friendly - Kim in the office was especially nice.

I grew up near Dove Creek (Cahone), so I'm a little biased.

I grew up near Dove Creek (Cahone), so I'm a little biased. I love the country there and it is easy to travel around and see the great scenic destinations in the area and then come back to your hotel and just relax. There are several new restaurants and some that have been there for years. They all offer great traditional western fare and also newer cuisine. The people are very friendly and you will always find that they are more than willing to talk to tourists about why they love to live there.
