It honestly blew my mind how fancy and luxurious this hotel was. We selected it as we were attending a function in Battle Creek, and it was the best rated and most reasonably priced room in the entire area around Marshall and Battle Creek. The room was spectacular - it was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The had soap, shampoo and conditioner in generous pump bottle. Water pressure was great, shower room was modern and had no door but it did not flood floor at least. There was generous closet space, extra pillow and an iron. Our room had a coffee maker, a kettle, and a fridge, but it did not have a freezer. Wifi was public but was satisfactory, the curtains blocked light effectively and there was no sound even though we were facing the parking lot (though you can hear the trains at night).

It was perfect for our trip. Good rooms at a reasonabe price. Breakfast would have been great - it looked great, but we had other plans and we had a big dinner the evening before. I liked the walking distance to a number of good restaurant options. Very helpful staff. Kids liked the good WIFI.

Quick getting ahold of someone for after hours, lighting in room better than a different hotel we paid more at. Easy checkout next morning. Nice size fridge, able to eat in room.

Albion has loads of eating places of all kinds.

Albion has loads of eating places of all kinds. There are other hotels ($$$). Downtown has stuff to do. Some interesting stores. Movie theater, Ax throwing, Albion College. Several parks , one with splash pad for summer, another with Frisbee golf.. Hands on children's museum Kids n Stuff. Its usually easy to get around but recent storms and new construction means some round about getting to places.

Room was not as expected only stayed because of emergency and the weather was bad. Rooms not clean from the door handle, bathroom, carpet and everything else. My first room looked like someone else had just recently been in there. Second room wasn't better had the heat set at 84° and room never reached over 68°. You could feel a breeze in the room plus the temperature outside was in the negative. Asked for a heater or blanket desk attendant came to room with a temperature reader instead that's how I knew the room was at 68°

Albion is a beautiful quaint town.

Albion is a beautiful quaint town. Everyone is very friendly. Convenience stores were available (Dollar General was right in town). I was in town because my dad was turning 90 years old. Gas station and post office easily accessible. Once my reservation issue was resolved I had a great time. I ate at the hotel or travelled to Jackson to eat at Cracker Barrel (short pleasant drive away, approx. 20-25 minutes).

I would never recommend this place. It was horrible.

I would never recommend this place. It was horrible. It was dirty, it was was unsafe. The room smelled of stale cigarette smoke and the sheets had blood on them. I did not stay, I left as quickly as I could.
