A lovely property in beautiful surroundings. Great food and comfortable beds too

Wilfried and his family are absolute gems. We had the best stay there, loved sharing our meals with the family and getting to know more about the region through the eyes of a local. Wilfried also helped us organise a day trip to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for my partner’s birthday gift. It was certainly a highlight of our time in Africa. The views from the bedroom were stunning, we spent some time on the balcony just reading and watching the lake. The sunset was beautiful. The cooking was all homemade and delicious with a mix of local recipes and international recipes. The shower was hot and had excellent water pressure.

Lovely peaceful place on Itambira Island on Lake Bunyonyi. Very basic and little food choice but super sweet staff and very helpful.

A wonderfull wiev over the lake. We did enjoy the atmosohere by the peacefull place. The food was tasty and healthy. We did prefere the local organic food which was made for us in the restaurant. Also the breakfest was splendid every morning. San was the chef who made tasty vegeterian food for us from local organig ingredients. Peace was the best ever as a waitress, as she was smiling and talking with us . The cottage we had was perfekt with the astonishing wy to the blue lake. We did watch the birds, the stars and we made a wonderfull boattrip on the lake. We had also a trip to a village of pygmis. At the last night we did see a flying star! Then we had the change to hope that we could come back here again! There was also time to make some jogapractising by own. We did read books. We did make meditation daily by ourselves. Also we had time to make watercoulourpainting by us selves of the landscapes. I tried to paint the landscapes which did very much remaind me of William Turners paintings Everything was organaised by a fantastic personal! We were kept so well that it felt almost like at home. The owner Edvard was so kind. He did organise everything for us. It was so nice to visite the pygmivillage and dance with them. Edvard took us to the border of Ruanda. He did help to get trough the formalities. Ores was the excellent guide on our boattrips! Ores took care of telling us how to behave at pygmivillage. He did also tell us very many stories about Uganda. Kampu was the expert to make campfire and drive the motorboat. He was always polite and helpful. Charkotte, the manager, was keeping everything in excellent hands. Always smiling and always helping in everything. With the experiencis of travelling more than hundred countries we do highly recommend this lovely gorgeous place Lake resort! We do both feel like new persons after spending four nights there!! Fantastic stay located in the centre of Kisoro. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with private en-suite shower room. There was a relaxing shared living room perfect for winding down after a long day of hiking and the food and breakfast was excellent. Ivan the host is one of the nicest people you'll meet, always on hand to assist with advice or organising tours (We did the Bwidni Forest). He even walked me to the night bus to Kampala to put the icing on the cake! Overall amazing stay and would highly recommend!
