I must confess I wanted to get a five-star hotel in Singapore, but also not to pay through my nose. So while I expected it to be quite good, I still thought there would be some sort of a trade-off. Well, there was none. Firstly, I didn't think the place would be so beautiful and the rooms (we had the ones with Peranakan décor) done in such impeccable, fine taste—it is breathtaking, really; plus all the amenities are in perfect condition and there are small touches that are absolutely bound to steal your heart. Secondly, the location itself is lovely—you are still in the centre of the city-state, just not where every other living soul seems to be at the same time, too. Right across the road you have the old Katong neighbourhood, which is as colourful, quaint and impressive as it is full of life of every type: cafes, shops, assorted temples; you name it. Thirdly, the hotel comes equipped with an Infinity pool that commands an unobstructed view of said Katong district, and getting a good evening swim after a day full of running around Singapore is such a cleansing treat. Fourthly, the breakfast has everything you may need and then some: you have the buffet selection and the a la carte selection, and if you're only in the mood for a cup of coffee, amiable staff may just kindly throw one in for you free of charge. So indeed the only reason why you may not want to stay here is if you need to have all the hustle and bustle of Singapore directly at your doorstep; other than that, Indigo Singapore Katong should really be your go-to option in this jewel of a city.

Staying at this hotel was an absolutely unique experience. We spent most of our time in the stunning rooftop infinity pool, which was the main reason for choosing this accommodation. The room, and especially the bathroom and toilet, were absolutely amazing.

FAQs about hotels in Singapore

Asia in a Compact Package

Clean, compact and compelling, Singapore seamlessly combines the best of Asia. Different cultures and cuisines live side by side, whilst maintaining their own identity.

Behind the bright lights of Chinatown is great value dim sum, while Little India is a sensation for the senses. Wander past the pastel-painted facades of Malay-dominated Geylang Seari for a taste of days gone by, then stop off at the Colonial-style Raffles Hotel, birthplace of the Singapore Sling cocktail.

For a retreat from the hustle and bustle, take the cable car to the sandy beaches of Sentosa, an island just south of the city centre. Also here is Universal Studios Singapore, a theme park brimming with the magic of the movies.

As you’d expect from the host of the world’s only Formula 1 night race, once night falls, Singapore is still very much alive. Its Night Safari is a zoo offering the rare chance to see nocturnal animals going about their business.

Although small enough to see on foot, Singapore has an efficient public transport system which extends as far as Singapore Changi Airport. With a choice of Singapore accommodation ranging from budget hostels to luxury hotels, Booking.com is bound to have the right choice for your holiday.

I lived in Singapore for many years and love the city. The offering for visitors has improved dramatically over the last 10 years and it is no longer just a two night stopover location. Fantastic city that i would recommend that anyone should visit.

    Big city full of everything.

Big city full of everything. If you are traveling alone or with kids, you will find something for your needs. The city gets very hot during summer, so be prepared. A pro tip: Sentosa is not so good, although it is nice with beaches and all, it is very touristic, but the harbor is far from a nice blue paradise, it is full of oil ships, containers, and the view features an ugly oil processing site :(

We were on a brief stopover on our way home after a very long trip to Europe, so we were wanting to relax not go sight-seeing. However, Singapore has so many places to see and is well worth a longer visit. Our favourites from previous trips are the Gardens by the Bay and Singapore zoo. Singapore is a beautiful city.

room space is good for Singapore. we booked 2 rooms and both were nice and clean. Location is great, you get plenty of options just downstairs, if you walk 10 mins you get plenty of restaurants for tourists. Metro is also close, 5 mins walk, and connects you with every place you need to go. Very useful a cycle parking if you want to rent and move faster. bathrooms are well organized and space optimized. Breakfast is good and you can find everything you need. I have been in other hotels in Singapore and the level is more than acceptable.

I was a bit skeptical after reading the reviews, but honestly, I had a lovely stay here. The best part was the jet bidet, or whatever it was called! Not all hotels in Singapore have this, so if it’s something you consider important, this hotel should be on your list. The staff were friendly and helpful as well.
