Ibrahim is a fantastic host. Kind, funny and so generous with his time. We loved the driver too and from the camp in his four wheel drive - fun! The tent was also fun and a truly unique experience and the food by Ali for dinner and breakfast was excellent. Best of all was the location - and tents privately tucked away in giant soft dunes with magnificent sweeping views. Did I say best of all? Actually, while the location was absolutely amazing, it was Ibrahim's charm, humour and great service that was the best. He is joyful and interesting man and I highly recommend staying with him. We stayed with our 10 yr old son who loved Ibrahim too. Easy to reach the meeting point ,Oman desert private camp station in 2wd, although not signposted so google maps is very helpful! Thank you Ibrahim and Ali for a truly memorable night in the desert

This place is so beautiful. The garden created such relaxing atmosphere. The playground was the highlight for our kids. The bed was comfortable and we got an additional mattress too. The staff was really helpful. There was quite a space in the back yard to hang our laundry. We drove to the nearby sand dune in the evening. The view was fantastic and there was enough sand for the kids.

I must highly recommend Moon Light Camp for everyone who is looking for the real desert experience in Oman! The tent is beyond my imagination. It was very clean, tidy, especially the bed is very cozy! We booked the dinner and breakfast as well. Trust me those are super valuable! There's a solar USB charger inside the tend so don't worry about the power. We enjoyed the sunset, sunrise. Don't miss the night starry sky! That will be one of the most memorable experience in your life!

I stayed at this wonderful place as part of a family trip to Oman last month, and it easily was the highlight of the tour! The camp itself is gorgeously located on top of a dune; your views don’t get any better than that (and both sunset and sunrise are worth watching!). In terms of setup, it had everything you needed, from comfortable beds to clean bathrooms and a welcoming communal dining area. I’m also a vegetarian and found that the food was very accessible and easy to navigate. What made my stay here so special, though, was the team behind this camp. We spent two nights here so we got to know Said and his team a little better, and they’re all as welcoming, knowledgeable, helpful and funny as can be. I really recommend doing the 6-hour tour around the dunes, Said took us to see the dunes, an oasis farm, the local Bedouin family, and made us a beautiful lunch picnic under a tree patch as we watched the camels pass. You can really tell they love this project, so it’s no surprise that guests quickly feel the same way. I’d come back here in a heartbeat, and to anyone reading these reviews because they’re in between two camps: this is your sign to stay at Al Sarmadi - you won’t regret it.

‏+ The camp was in a fantastic location in the desert completely surrounded by dunes. The tents were extremely comfortable as were the beds. I slept like a baby. The outside toilets/showers were whopped you would expect from camping experience but perfectly usable and not a problem. The camp itself was very spacious and the tents were located some distance away from each other giving that feeling of isolation to some degree. The staff organised a variety of different activities which looked to be at a reasonable price. The camper staff are able to organise a transfer from a local village into the dunes if you only choose to hire a two wheel drive car. It looked to be just about possible to get to the camp with the two wheel drive car but not for the fainthearted, and would require a good degree of confidence

Our stay at Remal Inn Resort was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel completely at home in the heart of the Omani desert. The setting is absolutely breathtaking — surrounded by golden dunes, peaceful silence, and stunning sunsets. The resort is beautifully maintained, offering both comfort and authenticity. Every detail is thoughtfully arranged, creating an experience that is both relaxing and unique. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to our incredible host, Mohammed, whose kindness, professionalism, and care truly elevated our stay. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. A special thanks also to Abdurahman, who was always nearby to assist us with a smile and made us feel very well taken care of. Both gentlemen were exceptionally helpful, attentive, and respectful — a true credit to the hospitality of Oman. We can’t recommend Remal Inn Resort enough. If you’re looking for an authentic and serene desert experience with top-tier service, this is the place to be. We’re already dreaming of coming back. Thank you for everything!

    The resort is nice, I think there is a huge investment in the resort , although I think it will be better to train the staff to be more professional to deal with guests and certainly the restaurant is not up to the expectations especially regarding the menu and the the food served maybe the investment should include a new restaurant much better than the current one.
