Everything was fabulous and the view was a huge bonus ! The breakfast was a surprise and included a big selection. Bed was so comfortable and wondering around the garden was a highlight too. Wished we could stay much longer!!

We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage. Perfect, peaceful location. We enjoyed exploring the local area and kayaked to donut island. The cottage was beautiful with everything provided. Thank you for a lovely breakfast Sue :)

    My weekend trip in Whangamata was fantastic, I honestly wished I had gotten to stay longer since it's such a lovely town. The beach, which is great for surfing and walks, is a huge part of the town, so staying near it is important. Whanga Bar Surf Views, where I stayed, had perfect beach access so I'd highly recommend that home.

    This is a family beach holiday destination.

    This is a family beach holiday destination. Very down to earth and firmly rooted in the surfing culture. Once a year in Match / April they have a Festival called the Beach Hop which is the largest classic and vintage car meet in NZ and includes music and 1950 / 60’s dance competitions. Classic Cars and their owners were all drifing in to town while we were there - it looked like it would be a spectacular event. We would consider revisiting the town in the future to participate in the Hop.

    Whangamata is an amazing beautiful white sand beach,great for Boogie boarding g swimming surfing,a surely stunning.whangamat shops have everything you need and some great cafes area not too built up but has enough amenities for a lengthy stay.

    Whangamata is a small town but has everything you need,...

    Whangamata is a small town but has everything you need, several good restaurants and cafes, shops and bars. The beach is beautiful, sandy, wide and safe. It is totally unspoiled. There is a small harbour, lots of fishing and boat rides. The surrounding countryside and views are magnificent. At low tide you can walk to one of the small islands.

    Whangamata can give you what you want, whether its a quiet peaceful time or a bit of a night out. Lovely walks whether ir is a beach, forest or hill walk. Golf course, cycling tracks, or just a gentle stroll on the beautiful beach. Lots of cafes, places to eat, like European, Thai, Indian, Turkish Kebab or fish & chips as well as 3 clubs in town for a small fee can enjoy a drink as well as lovely food. Downside is places close early & not like the big towns/cities for food & drinks.

    Wendy is by the best communicator by far in all my dealings with my bookings via Booking.com. 😊 The apartment catered for everything down to an air fryer, coffee machine, sandwich press. The extras in the pantry & choccies. The beds were very comfortable. It's cosy, comfortable and relaxing. I felt" taken care of" so special acknowledgement goes to Wendy. Easy check in & closer to the town centre. Whangamata is our favorite winter get away. We will be back.

    KB (and Carly) were the perfect hosts. Very helpful. Great facility - with a 'tropical' theme throughout the complex. Having arrived after dinner time, KB recommended a couple of eating places and we settled for the Whangamata Club and managed to place an order before the kitchen closed off - great meal. They also provided an excellent, informative WELCOME book.

    Fabulous stay at the beautiful Tuis Nest - the hosts provided some lovely extras which was a nice surprise too! The house is a bit away from party central ( town) but close to Williamson Park for the beach hop celebrations.. Fabulous having extra towels available when needed..very friendly host.
