The reception staff were welcoming and friendly the shared kitchen was modern clean and tidy (it could have done with an extra toaster) having just the one. We were in room 312 which was a little larger than the others having a single bed in it as well but was warm and comfortable.

Wonderful place - will be back. Well fitted out, great environment. Huge room with lots of options built into how different users / groups might use it - from families to friends and solo travellers. Staff were great and so helpful

The apartment was really big and spacious, with comfortable beds and furnishings and a really well equipped kitchen. Great location in the little town centre, and attached to a pub which served really good food, either to eat in the pub, or to takeaway. An ideal location for us to explore the beautiful Catlins area.

The house is beautiful, warm and very comfortable. There are two bedrooms with double beds, a room with double bunks and a sofa bed in the living room. The layout of the house is so good, and a huge bonus was a lockup garage. The kitchen was extremely well equiped plus there is a laundry with washing machine and dryer. The air-conditioning was very much appreciated as it was freezing, raining and hailing most of the day. Be sure to get supplies along the way as there really isn't any shopping in and around the area, though there are some cafes.

We enjoyed our stay at the Anchorage very much. The location is wonderful, the apartment spacious and clean and the equipment (kitchen, bathroom) provides everything you need. Would definitely come again!
