We flew into Christchurch as we wanted to start our NZ adventure on the South Island. We arrived in the morning and Cathy & Grant let us check in early. Once settled, they suggested some ideas for that afternoon as well as several options for lunch & dinner . All of there recommendations were great. The location of the lodge is in a peaceful garden with a stream flowing through the back yard. We had a great night’s sleep as it has to be one of the quietest places in New Zealand. We spent the next day in Christchurch and a second peaceful night of sleep and we were well on our way to time zone adjustment and ready to explore more of the South Island. Thanks Cathy & Grant

It was the best accommodation we have ever visited. Just amazing. We felt like we were in a fairy tale and even though we were far away from home and family (CR), we felt like we were on vacation with our grandmother. Barbara is an angel. She took such good care of us and did everything she could to help us with anything we needed. Her husband is also a very nice person and it was a pleasure to meet him. The accommodation was very clean with perfect facilities and a very comfortable bed :). Thank you very much for everything. If we are ever in the area, we will definitely book your castle again! :)))
