I was unable to get a taxi from Masaya until much later than I planned. The owner still greeted me at the door, I believe I woke him up because it was quite late (around 11:00pm). He was very polite and welcomed my friend and I, even though it was much later than the latest arrival time that is posted on the description (5pm). I was very grateful 🙏

Julieta was just the nicest person ever! Even though we got stuck at the border from Costa Rica to Nicaragua, she waited for us until 10:30pm and welcomed us. everything was great and super clean, unbeatable for that price. Amazing value for money, the place was spotless and everything we needed was there. The host was so kind and attentive and helped organise a taxi to the port for the morning. Walking distance to the square and centre for restaurants and shop. 10/10 stay, we would definitely come back!

Super helpful and friendly host family. Hans and his mum helped me out several times and it was a pleasure to meet the family. The place had everything, was well equipped and super clean including new appliances, a big TV and even a washing machine. Rivas was an interesting small town with a nice square, church, park and a lot of small shops. I walked there every day and it took about 20 minutes.
