Very close to Rabat, just a short walk. Take the public water taxi over to the main town as it is really cheap and fun. The souk of Sale is also lovely! The sea on the Sale side is easily accessible. Salé has much more of the old world charm than does Rabat, and after all that is why you visited Morocco in the first place! Naturally the street food and small cafes are great, but if you want fine dining it is within a short walk to the marina area. There you will have access to excellent food and a great selection of the finest locally produced wines. Try "Al Marsa" restaurant.
