Mixed emotions. The host had shared very clear pictorial instructions on how to reach the property, which was extremely helpful. I arrived around 8 PM after a 12-hour drive and was completely exhausted. Unfortunately, disaster struck—the key code worked, but the door wouldn’t unlock. It almost felt like Fate was working against us :-) I called the host, and she was very responsive and tried her best to help, but the lock just wouldn’t budge. After about 30 to 40 minutes of trying, it finally worked—and we stepped into a very cosy house. The host has done a great job making the old apartment feel both functional and welcoming. Everything was clean—except the floor. Walking barefoot, I could feel sand grains, which made sense after visiting the nearby beach, just an 8-minute walk away. Despite the hiccup, I would strongly recommend this place and would stay here again if I return. Just remember Carry Mosquito repellants if you are travelling in Latvia

The peaceful surroundings and the silence of nature made our short stay feel like a true escape. The host was warm and welcoming, ensuring everything was perfect for us. The facilities were impressive, and we especially enjoyed the sauna, which added a touch of luxury to our evening. On a rainy and windy night, the fireplace created a wonderfully cozy ambiance.
