This is a little paradise. A big pool and lovely private chalets, right on the river which you can kayak down. Its fabulous! You're surrounded by jungle, and the food for amazing. Really loved it. The staff were friendly and sweet and we couldn't have asked for better during our last few days in Sri Lanka. This is expensive for Sri Lanka but its definitely worth it.

Perfect stay at the Karanukarala Ayurveda resort, especially the Ayurveda treatment was wonderful. In the beginning, the crew told me it was fully booked, but in the end, they managed to schedule it for me. The room was big, and really clean and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay there, especially to relax (recommend the yoga and meditation classes).

One bedroom villa was spacious and very clean. River view is second to none. Also this place is kids friendly and swimming pool is beautiful. Main highlight is dinner and breakfast. It’s very delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Beautiful seaside villa with swimming pool, spatious space and rooms. Due to some serious family situation we had to leave after one night instead of 5 booked nights and owners were very nice and helpful, they charged us only for one night. This place is for people who like privacy, silence and place far from the city rush. The city center is quite far, cca 30 min by tuktuk. You can order food in the villa, we tried only breakfast and it was good.

Mr. Marcus will make your trip a real holyday. Even wild crocodiles that live in the nearby river dream to move to the magic canals of Puetz Travels Beach Resort. I wish i were among the lucky ones.     Quiet place with pure nature, river and ocean around, clean pool, nice bungalows (great idea of small houses with direct path to the beach), good beach area, friendly staff. A cute couple of dogs living in the hotel was an advantage :) Every time you want to go out of the hotel, you need to take a hotel boat to cross the river, which is very interesting and not so common for many hotels, but you need to make sure that a boatman is there!

    Such an amazing start to our Sri Lanka trip - dinners are so good here!! Different meal served each night. On the first night we had a selection of authentic Sri Lankan curry and rice that was incredible. The pool area is clean, relaxing and the rooms are big and clean. Hotel manager and all staff are very accommodating providing everything we need including bicycles which were a great way to explore the area.

    A very pleasant place to relax at the end of an active trip in Sri Lanka. Marcus and his wife are very attentive and welcoming hosts. We really appreciate how they managed to transform this place into a friendly little paradise. The family cottage is spacious, with two bathrooms. The garden is spectacular and very well maintained. Across the road is a long and wild beach. Love it.

    We used this hotel as a one night stop off when we arrived before travelling around Sri Lanka. The location is remote, but that didn't bother us as we only stayed at the hotel. The pool was big and clean, whilst the room was really comfy.
