I stayed at Diamond key Ahangama for 3 weeks. I had the most wonderful stay and I wholeheartedly recommend the place to anyone looking for a Villa in Sri Lanka! This villa exceeded my expectations. The villa is perfectly situated in a peaceful area at the end of a quiet road, nestled among local homes. It offers a blend of tranquility and connection to the local community. Every time I returned to the villa, I was greeted by the warm smiles and friendliness of the locals, making me feel genuinely welcome. The location is ideal, being less than 1 km from Kabalana Beach and just 700 meters from the nearest restaurants. For snacks, water, or fresh fruits, the local village shops are only 100 meters away, so really everything you need is close by. The villa itself is impeccable. It features a bedroom, a clean and functional bathroom, and a well-equipped kitchen with a gas stove and full set of utensils. The private patio and fenced garden add an extra layer of comfort and privacy, making it feel like your very own oasis. The air conditioning was excellent—so efficient that I didn’t even need to set it to full power to sleep well. The shower had consistent hot water, which added to the overall comfort of my stay. What truly made my experience unforgettable, however, was the warmth and care of the villa’s owner, Mrs. Dedunu, who lives next door. Dedunu went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. She offered daily cleaning if desired and prepared the most delicious breakfasts from fresh, local ingredients. Dedunu's kindness and hospitality are unparalleled—she even did my laundry and cooked a traditional Sri Lankan dinner for me. Her dedication to making guests feel at home is remarkable, and her genuine warmth left a lasting impression on me. If you’re seeking a place that offers modern comforts while giving you an authentic taste of Sri Lanka, Diamond Key Ahangama is the perfect choice.

The hotel is newly opened, with beautifully renovated rooms. It’s close to Weligama beach for surfing and walking distance from the magnificent jungle beach for swimming. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. WiFi is good. Breakfast was delicious. And the two rescued kittens stole my heart.

Everything was truly excellent. The aesthetics of the resort are absolutely beautiful and calming, the rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom is really spacious and clean. The bed slept super comfortable. Breakfast was truly delicious, coffee great too. Really everything was brilliant. Felt totally at ease staying at this resort. Wish we could stay longer!

I can confidently say this is a hidden gem. From the moment I arrived, the attention to detail was evident. The check-in process was smooth and welcoming, setting the tone for my entire stay. The team went above and beyond to ensure I felt at home, and their hospitality truly elevated my experience. The food was nothing short of excellent—each meal was a delightful journey for the taste buds. I cannot recommend this place enough to my friends who are planning to visit Sri Lanka. Great place to stay in southern Sri Lanka! Hospitality at the Jini House is topnotch — the host family are super friendly and made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. Great breakfast on offer. Pretty chill and green ambience. Good room with good amenities — the loose natural stones on the shower floor were a nice touch. The house itself is located in a calm and green neighbourhood in Ahangama, conveniently close to the beach but tucked away from (but close enough to) busy tourist hotspots like Galle, Weligama, and Mirissa. We ended up not venturing away from this part of Ahangama and stayed mostly along Kabalana Beach since we found the vibe here quite unbeatable compared to other beaches in the area — long and not-so-crowded coastal stretch with incredible sunset views, nice palm huts, surfing schools, and food options. 💯% recommended! We would come back again for sure!
