Went for a quick transit stay to spend the night. They even arranged the pick-up from the railway station which was very convenient given the time we arrived. From the welcome drink that was served even at late at night to the dinner served before checking out was all exceptional. The staff was very professional respectful. They humbly attended our requests The food and the serving was top-notch The location is easy to reach and the hotel premise has a lovely landscape with a pool Will visit again. I would recommend this to anyone who is planning to travel to Minneriya / Hingurakgoda.

Once we left the crowded Colombo we arrived to this magical and relaxing place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes away from Polonnaruwa. The place, the room, the bath, the hospitality and the GREAT host that we had really made our visit worth it. The host, Mina, is exceptionally kind. She wants all her guests to be happy, comfortable and 'well feed'!!! Her cooking is also exceptional. The accommodation is simple, in a good way. A room with a view of the lush garden and a peaceful terrace right in the tranquility of Pollonaruwa. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. The host was exceptionally helpful, arranging guides for both an elephant safari and a tour of the wonders of the old town temples (both highly recommended); I had some money issues but he was very patient in helping to resolve them.

The location is outstanding. The property is surrounded by the lake which is very peaceful. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to help us with anything we needed. They prepared breakfast for us earlier than usual and even gave us a parting gift.

Very quiet and surrounded by large trees, historic sites and irrigation canal that is being fed by the ancient Parakrama Samudra nearby. Ranjith, the retired school teacher and the owner of the place helped me to brush up my Singhalese, his wife Amara made me a mouthwatering evening meal of rice and five curries. Dilshan the owner's son was very engaging and helped with me need. Wonderful stay. Lots and lots of monkeys playing around and even a family of deer 🦌 walk calmly through the garden. Thanks
