We had a wonderfull time at Thambu Illa. Mathu and Sutha did everything possible to make our 3 night stay a pleasant one. They also organised a private guided tour of Jaffna and the peninsula. It was really worth it. The breakfast was according to our wish srilankan or western. Lunch/dinner is ordered from out and very tasty. They have reliable TukTuk drivers and tipps for Jaffna eateries on hand. We want. to come back!!

I booked this property for my parents and their cousins. They really enjoyed the stay. They told me that the manager and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. They also mentioned that the breakfast was as really tasty with a good spread of authentic SL food.

Location is good. Room is very clean .my room cleaning boy (nishanth) is doing his jobb very will. Breakfast is very very good. Restaurant employees are caring us when we entered to the restaurant. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us. The night we stayed was very busy and the staff tried their best to provide alternatives for food when the dishes we ordered were out of order. I took my relatives to the hotel and they loved the place and we used all the facilities. I would highly recommend it for family and friends.

Usually, it's really hard to find a good place to stay in Jaffna, Either it's cheap and has some shortcomings or it has to be a 5-star hotel. But Jaffna Inn is in a perfect location. You are in walking distance from everything you need. And it's relatively cheaper. The staff was friendly & helpful, It was clean & comfortable. It had everything I was looking for.

A beautifully decorated and perfectly maintained property including a lovely pool. We were looked after by very attentive staff in particular Janakan who was so kind and helpful. The food was delicious and we will definitely plan to return!

The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. The price of the room was great value for money. Beds were soft and comfortable. The staff were extremely helpful, especially with my old grandma, they even brought food to our room so she was able to eat.

    Jaffna is still an unspoiled and hidden gem of a city. People are super friendly and the city is bustling and easy to navigate. There is a beech just outside the city center which is quiet and beautiful. It was very hot when we visited in july but we did not mind this at all.

    Jaffna is lovely city and it’s a shame we didn’t stay longer. It has changed a lot since our last visit 7 years ago with a lot more development but a shame so many franchises have opened up. It has a nice mix of tourist attractions and yet maintains its charm as a local area. The Rio ice cream is the best! I wish we had more time to enjoy local cuisine.

    Jaffna is a hot place and therefore the transport facilities...

    Jaffna is a hot place and therefore the transport facilities should facilitate the climate. Jaffna is also not clean as compared to the other places in Sri Lanka. Need a concerted public awareness campaign to all residents of Jaffna. People's attitude should change !!!

    We visited the The Jaffna Library, Fort, Point Pedro, Velvettithurai, Thalaiyadi Beach, Keerimala Sacred springs, Dambakola Patuna Temple, Nallur Kovil and KKS - On our way back to Colombo we stopped at Elephant Pass, Ree Cha leisure park and the Iranamadu water reservoir - Fabulous trip which helps us to explore the rich culture of Jaffna along with the beauty of a village with mesmerizing memories,

    Jaffna is a beautiful place to visit. Places and temples are beautifully crafted with ancestral works. People we met were friendly and courteous. Places like Nallur Kandaswamy Temple, Nagadeepa Vihara and Nagapooshani Amman Temple in an island, and few other places, it’s beyond words. Need to feel the atmosphere personally to have the divine presence and connection within one’s self. Best food eatery place for us is Jaffna Authentic Cuisine. Getting around places is convenient with auto and grab cabs too.

    It was Wonderful 3 Nights Stayed with My Wife . Food was Excellent The Owner was guided Where we Can Go around also to get a bike 🏍 for Rent he guided throughout the 3 nights . It was our 1st time to travel over there. very good to travel in the train 🚆 to Jaffna and We had The best Moments . Thanks for all your Help .. Ashoka villa one of the best Hotel in Jaffna Must Add Tooth past and Brush in the room also bit Strong blanket as well other than that. I can Highly recommend this place to any one ..

    What a gem! Beautiful house with a character, spotless rooms, the floor was shining, comfortable beds and a free pick up from the train station (which was not expected). We booked one night in Munril Guest as Fox Jaffna did not have availability for all 3 nights but we actually liked it even more than Fox resort.

    Hotel room and bathroom were really clean and a great size too. Clean towels and water bottles were provided in the room. Cute garden with fairy lights in the night creates a really nice atmosphere! Host was attentive, friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay here again when coming back to Jaffna.
