Once called a “Paris of the Middle East”, Beirut is the Lebanese capital set alongside the Mediterranean seashore and flanked by the Lebanese Mountains. Severely destroyed during the Civil War, the city underwent major reconstruction and is now a vibrant place full of nightlife and shopping venues.
Beirut is often considered by many major media outlets to be one of the top cities in the world due to its cosmopolitan nature and commercial development. See it for yourself on Rue Verdun, the trendiest shopping area or the Central District, the city’s historical core, full of modern structures, dining venues and open public spaces.
Stroll down the tourists’ favourite, Hamra Street, featuring plenty of boutique shops, popular cafés and restaurants. Beirut is sometimes called the “Party Capital of the Arab World” so while you’re at it, dance the night off at the clubs at Rue Monnot.
For a bit of history mixed with upbeat nightlife, pay a visit to Achrafieh, one of the city’s oldest and most charming districts. Since Beirut has over 5,000 years of history, a visit to its National Museum and Archaeological Museum is a real treat.
Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport is only a 10-minute drive from the city centre and Booking.com offers a variety of hotels and apartments in Achrafieh and Hamra for your perfect Beirut stay.
Beirut is one of my favorite cities. It is a vibrant city with an amazing cultural history. Walking in downtown, with the beautiful Souk filled to the brim with budget-friendly and high-end stores, while hearing the call to prayer from the neighboring Al-amin Mosque, lets you know you are in a unique city. Its mix of modernity and history makes it so interesting to walk around and discover. It has a great restaurant scene, if you are a foodie - even vegan, there are lots of options. The French colonization impacted its architecture - mixing Arabic and french styles. You get around with Taxis, everywhere has wifi, and you can surely find someone speaking French or English to guide you. The city actually also has a great gay-scene, with bars and clubs, making it a unique city in the Middle East.

Beirut is a must!
Beirut is a must! Lebanon is small and Beirut is a great location to plan your travel from if you are here for a short trip. If you plan a longer time here, it's worth spending more time in different regions of the country. You can make a day trip from Beirut to pretty much anywhere in Lebanon.

Beirut, Lebanon's capital, is a captivating blend of ancient history and modern vitality. From its well-preserved Roman ruins and a treasure trove of historical artifacts at the National Museum to its diverse neighborhoods bursting with art, culture, and delicious cuisine, Beirut offers an enchanting travel experience. The city's stunning Mediterranean seafront, vibrant Corniche, and the warm hospitality of its people add to its allure, making Beirut a must-visit destination that seamlessly weaves together the old and the new, leaving travelers with unforgettable memories of a resilient and inviting city.
The hotel location is great, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is awesome and connected to the hotel elevator which make it very convenient also they have a party that takes a place every weekend. Hussam at the front desk is the best out of the best he is very helpful and was able to accommodate me and my wife in such a wonderful stay that will not be forgotten.
When we will visit Lebanon will stay in your hotel❤️we love it
Definitely is recommended!
The staff was very helpful in particular Caren from reservation who assisted me in rescheduling my stay without extra charges in spite of the booking being non-refundable. Karim and Omar from the front office were very friendly as well. The location of the hotel is super; right in front of the famous Rouche rock and 5 minute drive to the Downtown.
There was a valet parking at a very affordable price. The studio was spacious and there were good kitchen facilities.
We had an amazing stay at Orient Queen Homes Hotel. The room was very nice, big and clean and we just totally loved the roof terrace where we enjoyed many drinks and meals. The staff was very friendly and always ready to answer any questions we had. They also helped us with renting a car and arranged a taxi from the airport to pick us up. All in all a very positive experience and we will definitely come back here when we visit Beirut again.
I´ve stayed in Assaha Hotel hotel for 2 nights ,needed something close to aiport after my late arrival. Location nice even though far from downtown Beirut . Staff was kind some language barrier but managable. Room was spacious and comfy bed. Next to is nice restaurant every evening is lit up pretty beautiful. Overall I think its 4 or 5 star hotel so better standard , obviously it is not Bvlgari resort but for short stay its good .
Very central location, close to Hamra street. Good old time comfort, which I remember also from my previous visit back in 2018. Very pleasant staff, good room, very good housekeeping w/ extra clean sheets and towels daily. Good Wi-Fi connection, and what's very important for Beirut - electricity for 24/7. Well, if you're in Beirut for busineess but on budget, then Mayflower is definitely the best hotel in this price category.
At Divan you are provided with a mini apartment in the middle of the Hamra section of Beirut, with a kitchen at your disposal. There are a lot of restaurants and banks in the area, which is very close to the American University of Beirut. The property offered a airport pick-up and drop-off. Bed very comfy. TV worked well with a couple of Western channels for news, etc. Staff very personable. Showers nice and hot.
The biggest advantages of the Marble hotel were the location - in the center of the tourist district of Hamra, close to eating places, and the staff who did their best to make up for the inconvenience. One of the gentlemen in particular, Adlib, if I remember correctly, was incredibly kind and caring, and it was also possible to have very interesting discussions with him.
I have been traveling to Lebanon for more that eight years for business trips.
This hotel is my favorite to Stay in. The staff is amazing and helpful. The hotel is clean. And the most important thing is the fact that the electricity is available 24/7 specifically these days.
Highly recommend place to Stay if you are planning to visit Beriut.
We loved the location its right in the middle of Beirut’s downtown town. Close to everything! The room was spacious and clean, and the Air Conditioning was very good in such a humid and hot weather if August in Beirut.
We will definitely come back to this hotel as it was great value for money for a beautiful location.
This is one of the best and most convenient hotels i have been to, located perfectly in Beirut around key areas with a very safe and nice surrouding. The staff are very friendly and professional and exceeded all expectations. Highly recommended for travelers who are all about convenience and smart choices :)
I like the Location... It is close to al Hamra and Al rouche and the nice Restaurants. The staff was very Kind and willing to Help. The Hotel was very clean and calm, so I could sleep deeply after a long sunny day in Beirut. I want also to mention, that I got a free upgrade from a Double room to a Suite.
The hotel has a very good location within walking distance from the downtown and the seaside promenade. A very friendly and helpful professional staff, clean spacious rooms with a very clean bathroom. Fresh towels and room cleaning every day. Thank you, hotel Cavalier for a fantastic holiday in Beirut.
The location is amazing and is walking distance from the whole of downtown Beirut Zaitona bay, and Gemayze. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean and the bed is super large and comfortable. Highly recommend as the value for money is very high.

The staff was excellent and attentive from the shuttle contact person at the airport to the guy who fixed the room safe when I accidentally locked it. Everyone was friendly and helpful which made my arrival to Lebanon smooth and easy.
The staff was very friendly and supportive. They helped us during the stay with all our requests
