very nice hotel with good onsen and very close to station. The rooms were clean and the personnal qualified. The breakfast was good having a mix of everything but of course mainly japanese food as expected in this area of Japan which is not Tokyo. The hotel has a coin laundry which is appreciated as we used it. The onsen is normal for this kind of hotel but always appreciated and products are good. I especially liked the shaving foam with mint perfume (I even tried to buy it in a drug store but could not find the same). Parking for free and only 3 min walk to station. My son enjoyed to watch the Shinkansen leaving Shinjo.

Fantastic place for our first experience in an Onsen. Staff was very friendly and going beyond language barriers they all helped us understand how everything was working. The room was so comfortable and beautiful. Traditional Japanese design with tatami mats, sliding paper doors, perfect relaxing lighting, a low table where we loved to have green tea, Yukata for men and women, loved their beautiful blue colors and traditional cut. So comfortable to go around in these. Breakfast was fantastic! And the water was so hot and rich! It was fabulous. There is a 24/7 shop open in the lobby, which was extremely convenient. The fact that the four private baths were available without reservation or additional fee made our life very easy. Nature around the resort was beautiful, very much worth going on a hike. Another plus is the free shuttle from and to the station. Last tip: don’t miss the chestnut mochis made to order the day before. To die for!

One of the highlight hotels we stayed at during our driving trip around Honshu. The hotel in all aspects is relaxing from the time you settle in and pop down for a free coffee or glass of spirits to relaxing in the hot on-site Onsen. Wandering through the charming village was also a bonus as it is the home of the small wooden dolls called Kokeshi (you will want to buy them all but reality always dictates the situation). A must visit is to the Kokeshi Museum (DO NOT GO TO THE FALSE ONE) but one has to ask to see the oldest doll in the collection. Neat collection of simple Japanese art form in wooden dolls. Eating in the town is a must especially in the traditional eateries on the main street and then wandering through the backstreets checking out the way the Japanese harvest their grapes from under the vines not as done in OZ. The photos show here do have copyright so be careful if you intend to copy and use them in any way you intend to use them. Besides asking is always more professional. ENJOY.

The property was clean, spacious, and in a lovely location with a view of the mountains from the room. The bath on the 6th floor was lovely and the little outdoor section was a nice experience in the cool weather. The baths have all the things you need for your washing and skin care so you can just bring a towel if you want. The buffet was SO GOOD! Highly recommend getting half board during your stay. The other facilities like the table tennis, manga room, etc. were nice too. Karaoke is pay per hour per person. Also, the staff were extremely friendly and professional. They always helped us with any questions and brought a baby chair for us every mealtime.
