The building was a traditional Japanese house that is recently renovated. The building has all the facilities of a modern home and hotel whilst keeping a Japanese atmosphere. The kitchen area and washing facilities are really well equipped.

Really lovely owner that even took us to the local onsen and picked us up. Also reserved a place at a local restaurant, so we wouldn't go hungry. The location is in a quiet neighbourhood and the night sky was cool to see with all the stars. Could store our bicycles under a roof too. Really comfortable beds and pillows.

Right on the Shimanami Kaido trail, with a good Family Mart next door. Possibly the nicest hostel I have ever stayed in. Towels provided, you can bring your own food and drink into the cafe space, but their own food is delicious too and not badly priced. Staff friendly and helpful.

An authentic home restored beautifully by Dani and Evan! The touches of original furniture and vintage furnishings really set this house apart from anywhere else I have stayed in Japan. Dani and Evan were so welcoming and gave us great recommendations for local activities and restaurants. A perfect stop half way along the Shimanami Kaido Cycle Route. Splendid house that we stayed during our Shimanami Kaido cycling mini-trip. Nicely renovated; softest futons we’ve ever slept on; having a washer and dryer was a plus, especially mid-cycling adventure. I can only imagine how nice the stay would be for dogs and their humans — there are so many amenities, from backyard to sofa steps!

Cute place with cozy beds and nice atmosphere in room. Located in nice town close to shrine and wisteria garden and several good restaurants. Shared toilets and shower we're very clean. We were very happy there after a day of cycling!

    The island has a very slow pace. Great for relaxing.

    The island has a very slow pace. Great for relaxing. We came here on a motorcycle/fishing trip. The motorcycle part was great. The fishing part…. was difficult😩 Lots of chinu (black bream) around and big, but they were not interested in the lures we used. Saw some locals catching them with bait, so we will have to change our strategy next time! Also, squid fishing is quite popular. One more thing, many restaurants only open for lunch or close/take last orders early so be prepared for this or you’ll be eating convenience store foods!🤣

    We were involved in the 7 bridges bike ride over 2 days so...

    We were involved in the 7 bridges bike ride over 2 days so we only stayed in Imabari for one night. If I was to do this trip again I would do it over 3 or 4 days in order to stay a little longer and explore.
