We have been before. Sadly, Cefalu is becoming very busy now. We've been many times previously and have noticed the increase in tourism. We can't complain. We're tourists ourselves. Cefalu is one of the best summer destinations to visit in Sicily. The scenery, beach, the old city, restaurants and train access makes this an excellent tourist destination. Beautiful location, lovely old town with lots of shops, bars and restaurants. Beach is golden sand and plenty private and public beaches along the front promenade. Train from Palermo was quite straight forward. The sunset is just stunning! Rosa Maria and her family are excellent hosts and the garden is like a quiet oasis within the hustle and bustle of cefalu. Really great location, the beach is at the end of the street and a short stroll into the old town. The breakfast spread each morning was incredible, with many options and all delicious.
